on the left of names I see Newbie, Curious, Devient and such. What do you do to have you status changed? Is it time, postings, someone judging? I'd like to know for I'm no Newbie/Vanilla.

It is based on the amount of posts, but it can also be changed at the whim of certain mods.

It is how many postings you have made on the board. 25 is the original magic number.

this slave started off as newbie/vanilla too and it took a while to get to twisted (she always knew she was twisted LOL) as it has been said it takes a certain number of posts and on occasion the mod's bump you up a notch or two.

Best advise i'll offer, don't focus on the status/ranks. Just keep your focus on the thread topic when replying. If a mod interprets your postings as being focused on upping the rank, they can, and just may (and have been known to), knock you down by a level.

Please do not post just to up your rank. You will be given the rank you hated back, with no way to change it until someone feels you have been punished long enough. Consider it on-line spanking ;-)

And the Mod's never bump you up a level or two. We may give you a special name, but that's about it. Some time ago we had a board poll on special names and the mebers were able to nominate others for special names. Then some were chosen out of the nominated and then the names were voted on via poll. We may do that again after the first of the year and things settle down some.

I have to say I don't understand the concept of posting merely in order to change your status level. Who pays attention to that anyway? I mean, "Board Bitch Trey" is really cool, but it's not like I wouldn't listen to what someone has to say just because their box says "Vanilla." Just post when you have something to say, don't post when you don't, and over time your clicker will rise.

Most board systems I've used/modded do it automatically. All you can do is change the status names, but not turn it off all together.

I kind of like it. It really doesn't mean anything, just maybe points out who has contributed more in posts.

I wonder if you know which name I hated the most?

If you really think about it;it is just like anything else. Noone wants to be new or to be shown as inexperienced. I for one did not mind the names in the beginning that didn't bother me it was the lack of the number of shells. LOL I was so glad to have two that it wasn't funny. It was something about that one lone shell. {that''s just my need for togetherness LOL}

Anyway, it is true, if you just post and post sincerly the little gifts will change. I have a handcuff which for me is wonderful. I am not really that eager to get to the paddles because I think they are ugly although the names that they have with the paddles are pretty cool.

Overall I pretty much like the system, gives it an added touch of fun.

As for the names that you liked the least I think that would be a good poll question. [hmmmm]
