Yes it becomes a problem! It isn't so hard to understand. Nothing to do with race. I am sure non-white people were killed in NY, considering NY is filled with African Americans.

FR I realise when I say African Americans or Jews practically don't exist in Singapore, and people call me racist for that too. But reality is, I have never met an African American or a Jew in Singapore living here all my life. Just stating facts. I have only seen them on TV. But then again, maybe I did meet a Jew but maybe they didn't identify themselves as one so I didn't know they were Jews. Basically I never met anybody from Israel in Singapore before. I just think the whole "racist" thingy is always thrown around for stupid reasons.

I know we're in "Politics & Religion", but I wanted my first post to be to just acknowledge the dead and the pain of their families and those who had "near misses", yesterday that will probably never be the same again. May God shed His perpetual light on all their souls and may all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Michael P.S; I'll be back with fuller thoughts, later.

I think innocent death is always a terrible thing, but I think whenever it involves visitors to our country, it seems all the more so.

I'm so sad and sorry to hear about this latest atrocity. These things seem to happening with such regularity across the world that it's almost a strain to remind ourselves that these were innocent people going about their business, or enjoying a holiday. We become immune to tragedy when they happen with such rapidity. And these are just the tragedies that we get to hear about. Hundreds are dying every day at the hands of political/religious fanatics - Ethiopia, Yemen Palestine Pakistan the Congo Iraq to name just a few - that we don't get to hear about. Yet their deaths are just as real, the grief their families suffer just as heart breaking as any other. And so often the instrument of their death is Western manufactured arms, another thing that rarely gets a mention. Against this bleak backdrop, IS stands out as especially callous and barbaric. It's no coincidence that this event took place as the so-called 'caliphate's' capital Raqqa was liberated, the last significant city that IS held. Perhaps we can find some consolation in the fact that incidents like this one in NY are the last gasps of a dying monster, that we can now glimpse what a world without IS might look like.

"My sources say", that's adorable. Multiple websites and news broadcasts are claiming he was shot in the abdomen. At any rate, he stopped the threat and no one else was injured, even if Officer Nash did have to fire 9 rounds to hit him. At the end of the day, that kind of "fucked up" is acceptable. At least he didn't shoot any bystanders.

16 blocks and all the shit driver could kill was 8 and injure 11. There are still many people in hospital from the Paris and LA attacks – they are often quickly forgotten. As this attack will be forgotten by the weeks end. But he has set precedence. IRAQ! A million of them died. One million forgotten. Madness begets madness. 5 were Argentinians BamaD. Animals do not care who they kill, Age, Race, Religion etc.
