Domestic abuse of men and children by women is a serious under reported problem, and is not funny.

Men are often embarrassed to report it, and are almost NEVER believed by law enforcement.

I like to keep my private life , private, but I will say that I know first hand that it is real (and I have protected my children)

My apologies. You just typed "Gotta Larf".

(In response to a post about domestic violence.) There was nothing in your post specifying that you were larfing ONLY at the poster.

Gotta larf is one of his...regular comments.
No matter how many names he uses to post.

I can be corrected if I'm wrong. I think she wrote that specific response due to the poster behind the sock puppet. Not the topic.

She did.. Her post was about the poster and not the topic. I know that now.

Domestic violence or abuse is a horrible human problem as we are all well aware. I will ignore the poster and address the topic for men.

It is true, men often (certainly not even close to always) have more options than women in getting OUT of abusive situations.

HOWEVER, although there are countless resources and shelters and programs for women (never enough), there are almost ZERO resources for men. Further, men are almost never believed by law enforcement, and very often end up being the one accused instead of recognized as the victim.

That, coupled with mens embarrassment over having to admit they are a victim, reduces reporting of these crimes to near zero.

I dont disagree ...
I just found this...one of nicks posts from 2012

No strings, no advertising, straight offer of web management and hosting....

see me on the other side if you want to do something instead ignoring ways of doing it for yourself or expecting women to cover your inability to.

That offer still stands, but five years later, his constant idiocy has worn on me.
Not for abused men, raped men, or any male victim of female violence. but for his ignorance.

What is this claptrap about "men" and "women"

According to leftist mantra there is no difference. A "man" can be a "woman" just by saying the words, "I am a woman" (and vise-versa).

Therefore "women" need no protection as there are no "women" who are any different than any "men"

Furthermore, "men" should have equal access to any shelters or other facilities or programs that "women" have access to

And if there were differences, as in "women" are a weaker sex - why take away their access to equalizers, such as guns? Or allow "men" into their safe, private spaces, such as showers and restrooms

Who abused and neglected children?
A perpetrator is the person who is responsible for the abuse or neglect of a child. Fifty states reported
512,040 unique perpetrators. The unique count tallies a perpetrator only once, regardless of the
number of times the perpetrator is associated with maltreating a child. The following analyses were
conducted using a unique count of perpetrators:
■■ Four-fifths (82.2%) of perpetrators were between the ages of 18 and 44 years.
■■ More than one-half (53.5%) of perpetrators were women, 45.3 percent of perpetrators were men,
and 1.1 percent were of unknown sex.
Using a duplicated count of perpetrators, meaning a perpetrator is counted each time the same perpetrator
is associated with maltreating a child, the total duplicated count of perpetrators was 893,659.
For 2012:
■■ Four-fifths (80.3%) of duplicated perpetrators were parents.
■■ Of the duplicated perpetrators who were parents, 88.5 percent were the biological parents.

With many more women being primary caretaker of children [as single parents or child care providers, etc] , the higher female offender percentage can be explained.

In my own house and in the neighborhood, moms did all the belt whipping, none of that "wait till your father get's home!" nonsense. That's just how it was, then.

This mom's own daughters and sons did away with the CP thing, as did many others'. And moms and Catholic nuns are very happy for that turn of evolution, I can tell you.

Quit being an idiot.

You were there as much as I was. Or maybe not. So now you shall be informed, in any case.

Who was at home more? So who else to do what society demanded? What was accepted, ney, actually demanded, at the time?

If you had a mommy feeding you cupcakes all the time, then good fortune to you, but that wasn't reality for most others.

Yes. CP should be banished across the board, at home and school, but this transition only happened in our generation. We might expect some bit of overlap, some few latecomers, etc.

We should also have worked out the fallacy of 'free market,' so how's that going?

BTW, the oldest nephew makes twice what my sister (his mom) does, and he is the best father to his two kids, and displays excellent manners to all.

Good manners are best conveyed and passed on by example, not by force.
