You've got it. Starting with Reagan, partisanship, tax cuts, debt, war were his and their goals, resulting in an evermore divided country on religious, economic, political, social also based on and ever increasing inequality he started to produce.
I blame the Reagan-effect for the denigration and impeachment of Clinton as it was all partisan financed bullshit.
Imagine the collective ignorance and shilling it took for a country (pol. party) to go after Clinton like they did, when the other side, i.e. Reagan/Bush only illegally traded missiles with the no. 1 terrorist country, committed to our destruction, used the money to fund an illegal war.....
.....and it was never even broached, the idea of impeachment. For those too young, Reagan got the nickname 'the Teflon pres.' because nothing stuck to him. Didn't mean he didn't 'cook' as a partisan, Keynesian, criminal, it just didn't stick.
Reagan could be the inspiration for Trump's comment about shooting somebody in NY and still being elected. Reagan just might damn well have been that guy to shoot somebody and be elected. so, we are still paying for his corruption.
