ORIGINAL: JVoV Overruled. This was a hearing to decide whether the officer should keep his job or not. This is the police union refusing to hold one of their own accountable. I find every single one of them in contempt. NONE of the officers involved were found guilty. The officer that drove the van, failed to buckle Freddie Gray into a seatbelt, get him medical attention and lied about the chain of events after the arrest. This ruling is a travesty of justice, a slap in the face for the citizens of Baltimore, and is atrocious. NO JUSTICE Would it make you feel better if they put an, apparently, innocent cop in jail? None of the officers involved in the case were innocent. Every single one of them has blood on their hands. I feel like there should be some way to, at the very least, strip their badges. Even if it takes a referendum in the city, or a city council vote. Even the ones who never interacted with Gray and just spoke to the driver? They couldn't get any convictions because they were going for a show trial when they didn't follow any of the rules. Had they conducted themselves this way with any other case all the evidence would have been thrown out and the prosecutor would be in jail. Had they handled this properly the 2 in the van would have been in serious trouble, most likely manslaughter . But no they wanted a show trial and got nothing. This is the prosecutions fault but of course the cops get the blame.
