"Do you find bi-sexuality more UNDERSTANDABLE in One Gender over another and if so Why?

(I am not asking 'acceptable' because that would take a judgment call and that is not what this question is about which it is also why I'm doing a poll so people can answer anonymously)

Note to Moderators- I wasn't sure where to put this being it is posed to a wide range of sexualities and genders.  Please move it where you must.

I am better able to understand female bisexuality, because women smell good, are soft and sexy, so sure, I see why a woman would want to be with another [:D].

Kidding aside, I don't guess I do understand it, except in a genetically disposed kind of way. Good question, though.

SavageFaerie -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 11:03:34 AM)

I find both totally understandable  and do not differ because of a persons sex.

To each their own and more power to them.

My bi-sexuality evolved more in the later years than earlier years and wish it had come sooner. Didn't know what I was missing till I had it. :)

Each have their pluses.

I have no aversion to male to male and know many who are.

just my opinion and thoughts on the subject

LotusSong -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 11:19:05 AM)

This stems from a conversation I'm having with a wonderful male sub.  I realized in responding to him that I have a definite opinion I didn't realize I had.

For me I understand the male bi-sexuality better because:

Male partners are more readily available.
Male sexuality seems more acceptable.
Males do not need to be "wooed" (well, to a point they do :)

To paraphrase Larry the Cable Guy it:  "Gets 'ER Done!"

I feel threatened by Bi-sexuality because I feel I would never be the "one and only"

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 11:49:37 AM)

I accept and understand both.

I of course, understand the female more, because I am one.  I have been bi-sexual for as long as I can even remember.  I know that I can get fulfilled in a different way with a woman it's a totally different dynamic..one that a man cannot copy.  The lovemaking is softer (80% of the time), they have soft curves, and the kisses are soooo good, the total connection is just on a different wavelength.

For men, I do understand also.  I think they have a harder time of being accepted than women do.  Most men .. well, you mention two chicks and they drool, if you mention two men, well.. you know the reaction.
I can see why though.  I mean, I love the feeling of a man.  The smell, the hardness, the power behind the thrusting.  They also have a way of making one feel secure and safe in their arms.

To me, it's oranges to bananas, so I don't see any reason to limit yourself to either or... just have a feast on both.

Hey LotusSong.... and all...

"understandable"  ?   .... nope.

I suspect most people don't even "understand"
why they choose the breakfast cereal they prefer,
never mind something infinitely more complicated
like sexual preferences.

For me, sex/eroticism/play  cums in 3 categories,
Yum ... i personally like it
Ick ... i personally don't like it
Blah ... who cares

Some folks like cunts, some like cocks,
some like both, some like neither...... who cares?

I guess bisexuals are just more flexible in their pleasures,
and how could that be a bad thing?

DD,

I don't understand it at all...but thats ok...too each their own.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 3:52:54 PM)

I don't need to understand it.  I'm not bi, I don't mind people who are, but why does it need to be understood?

benji

LaMalinche -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 6:51:59 PM)

For me, it means that gender ceases to be a criteria on whether or not I want to be with someone.  Of course, their sexuality is a factor. . . *sigh*

People get so wrapped up in trying to decide whom they love and whom they are allowed to have feelings for, whether those feelings are of love, like, compassion, lust, attraction, or what not.  In some ways, the knowledge that I am bi-sexual takes that complication away.

As Lazarus Long said. . .

The more you love, the more you can love — and the more intensely you love. Nor is there any limit on how many you can love. If a person had time enough, he could love all of that majority who are decent and just.

Why not?

Because I don't see the point in trying to wrap my head around something that doesn't need explaining.  It is.  Good enough for me.  If you want to understand it, all the best.

benji

hispossession -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/29/2006 11:20:15 PM)

I consider myself bi-sensual... I don't really want to have sex with women but I really do enjoy making out with them... someone told me that makes me bi-curious not bi-sexual or bi-sensual... *shrugs* they can call me whatever they want... I know how I feel...

I agree with LaMalinche about gender ceasing to be a criteria... it's the attraction to a person, not a set of genetalia...

and I love the Lazarus Long quote!!!

Where gender DOES make a difference is if you want to  reproduce your  bloodline.  I'm just old school I guess.. boys are boys and girls are girls.

I've stopped the poll anyway as it's not being condusive to gaining any insight anyhow.  Be happy and well  with who you all are folks.  Just was trying to understand a few things and seem to  see a situation that no one really cares to understand about themselves, let alone able to explain.

If it gets you through the night.. enjoy then :)  Just not my thing.

LaTigresse -> RE: Understandfing Bi-sexuality (7/31/2006 8:05:34 AM)

I guess I just do not get what all the hubbub was/is about. I don't like labeling my sexuality, it seems a rediculous thing.....to me. For my collarme profile I put lesbian because I am not at a place in my life that a man would just complicate it wayyyyyyyyyyy too much and I am just not that into men in a sexual manner anyway. Not too many men want to live without it.  However if one wanted to be clinical one could slap the bisexual label on me.
As far as knowing where a penis has been, I do not see how a man being bisexual versus straight makes one iota of difference. If the nature of a man is to sneak around scrogging behind their partners back, be they straight, gay, or bisexual, they are gonna sneak around dipping their wanker in other places. There is nothing about understanding their sexuality that is going to make a whit of difference there. And, the same goes for women, there should be no double standard. I have known many women that are just as unscrupulous about who, when and where, as any man. Understanding their personal morality, the kind of man he is, is far more important.
