In an effort to discredit Sarah Sanders, a group of amateur internet sleuths accused her of stealing a picture of a pie from PBS and claiming it was her own.... No, Sarah Sanders Didn't Steal a Thanksgiving Pie Photo From PBS I know that it seems to be the liberal hobby of the 21st century to discredit anyone associated with the GOP or the Trump white house, but seriously folks, this is a bit much. Just about anyone with half a brain can figure out a who actually owns a domain or web host by reading the info on an image, and if you arent sure, there are these neat little tools on the internet to allow dns look ups, or just google the damn thing. And if your major concern is the picture of a pie, then you really need to look at the number of elected officials and celebrities presently being outed as sexual predators.

couldnt give a rats arse about SHS but its gonna get a lot worse Jeff... and not just for trump. and not just for repubs. Edited to add I think Joe Barton is about the lowest Ive seen this week. Outing someone with texts vid and pics is unconscionable. But thats just my opinion.

If trump were caught in bartons position, i admit, I would find it funny as hell, so yep, i can be partisan. I dislike SHS intensely, have done since she supported daddy dearest. I dont like her politics, I dont like her as a person, because she lies so blatantly so often and gets away with it. But she has got a lot of flak, for her looks, her size, and now this. Being WH spokesperson, she sux at it. But thats what she wanted to do, I dont feel sorry for her. But this stuff is so ugly

This is exactly what the RWNJs do... they look at things that are happening on twitter and then pretend that everyone from the moderate Dems to the die-hard Communists are rallying behind it and dedicating all of their time and energy to making sure it's front page news. Why are you even starting a thread about some weird twitter phenomenon? Why are they even writing stories about it? This is seriously the equivalent of writing a story about the regular gossip going around in a small town sewing circle.

Faction is the goal here. Faction born of dissent that those in power use to further divide, those in society jump on and will long term...be the end of our republic just as in Greece and Rome.

This has been FOX News' thing for quite some time now... it's not new. Remember when every other week there was a story about high school students wearing right-wing slogans on t-shirts and being punished? Instead of it being about specific individuals, it was about 'liberal bias in the education system' and 'the left's assault on independent thought'. Ordinarily, Trump's behavior itself would be enough to discredit the GOP and the Trump white house-- I wish we could have faith that the RWNJs had enough basic decency and intelligence to see this, but the simple fact is that if they did, Trump wouldn't have been elected in the first place. For me at least, the scariest thing about 11/9 was realizing that a deep, terrifying stupidity has a significant presence in America. It cannot be reasoned with, has no sense of decency, and openly, unapologetically craves destruction, division and hate. I feel like all of these attempts to take Trump down are rooted less in partisanship gone wild and more in that sense of helplessness and fear that you might just be surrounded by people so delusional they are going to ruin everything you love about society and even the planet as a whole. Sort of like 'reason won't work... we need to stop this insanity NOW'... but of course, the desperation makes it all seem that much more futile.

Well, now one reporter is accusing Sarah of posting a pic of a fake pie, he wants a pic of the pie on the table. Now, taking into consideration the ethics scandals involving both parties in congress, the accusations of collusion with the Russians against Trump, and now 'piegate' I have come up with a solution. Take all of the elected and appointed officials in Washington, plus the white house press corp, put them all in a locked room with nothing to eat but taco bell and nothing to drink but prune juice. Oh yeah, and make sure all the toilet paper has been treated with the juice of the carolina reaper peppers.

Jlf - Personally,firing (without retirement, medical etc) then tar and feathering every last politician and reducing the pay of future politicians to minimum wage and requiring them to retire on SS....would be my idea of draining the swamp.
