So the hospital called and said I'd probably be Patient of the Year, but there's another strong contender in the ICU. Plus I'd need to head over there for a photo shoot (hopefully in the green gown I like best), an interview, and (of course) a blood draw. No mention of a copay. Well . . . I said I appreciated the thought, but if I'm only "probably" after four stays this year, then I'm gonna pass.

The cynics (like me) would predict...biggest tab wins. But not this time. Rather, I will surmise 1st or 2nd, it's their affectionate feeling for you as a patient, you just may brighten up their day you never know and they can use it often, I know. Stay here now, we want to read of you.
