Well, considering that Henry Kessinger admitted that the CIA helped put Gaddafi in power by aiding his forces in the Libyan revolution (funny how that fact was forgotten) it stands to reason that the CIA should have helped take him out, after years of tyranny. But hey, during the Iraq Iran war, we sold weapons and chemical systems to Iraq when whats his name was in power, while simultaneously selling parts to Iran to cover the cost of Contra operations in Nicaragua, who were also moving cocaine to buy weapons to fight the communist government there, and that too was under a Republican administration, a former movie star and governor of California I believe.... And while that was going on US 'advisors' were training Afghan rebels to kill soviets and supplying shoulder fire anti aircraft missiles and a few years later some of those trained by US 'advisors' formed a group known as Al Qaeda. And lets not forget Ike's administration helping Ngo Dinh Diem a guy so nice that in 1963 a Buddhist monk set himself on fire to protest his regime, and he was a republican. Of course the democrats arranged a little incident in the gulf of Tonkin to justify sending large numbers of American troops to South Vietnam.... And of course, American support was instrumental in keeping the Shah in power in Iran. So, yeah, both parties have been involved in toppling dictators and fucking shit up as only politicians can, and most of the ones we support being over thrown either got their with US covert support OR kept there with covert and overt US support. So, thanks to US involvement in cleaning up messes the US helped create, we have a total of 62,556 US servicemen and diplomats killed since Eisenhower got us into Vietnam, under both parties. And the people we helped put into power and subsequently helped over throw have resulted in one common problem, the dictators we put in power were replaced by dictators that were just as bad that we helped over throw our first mistake. Come to think of it, no country we 'helped' since WW2 has ended up better off than when we got involved, in fact in some cases, they have been in worse shape than before we interfered in the first place. Which, you would think, would get the US government and its agencies to figure out that we should not go putting our fingers in someone else's mess, we end up pissing off the very people we were trying to help in the first place, which has gotten use some really wonderful results, like 9/11, the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, Muslim extremists trying to kill Americans, a lot of countries that dont trust US motives, and in general we have made ourselves, thanks to our government thinking it can fix any problem in any country, one of the most distrusted and despised countries in the world. So, yeah I buy the Hillary argument, and in her defense she was following a failed game plan that every fucking administration since Eisenhower has tried, and failed. Yet, every person who has run for president or congressional seat has made a point to state "I will not make the same mistakes as my opponent (or predecessor)." I mean shit, we have interfered in North Africa and the middle east so long we might as well annex the entire region as a US territory.
