Hawkins -> Hello from the Nevernetherlands... (12/10/2004 10:56:44 AM)

I've posted a bit but not got round to formally introducing myself as I am always at a loss for what to say.

Seems it's only polite, so here goes.

39 years old (yesterday), I am English and lived in London (where I was also born) for most of my life but spent the 15 years before I moved to Holland (in 2000) in Devon, which is about 220 miles from London, in the south-west of England - the middle of the bit at the bottom that looks like a leg. I still go there regulary to see my two daughters (11 & 14) who live with my x-wife.

In 1995 I met at University (I went rather late because I grew up in a cult and it took me until 28 to get out) the Dutch woman I now live with. Our relationship slowly developed... well, more like it developed quickly but took a while to mature. We were still seeing other people until 1999. Well, I was seeing various people (almost all of whom knew), and she had a boyfriend (who knew).

Along the way Kate told me of her 'tastes'. She'd talked about the subject in general chats about sex and I had come up with the PC-wiffle of 'I'd never hit a woman' - much to her disappointment. But eventually she came out and asked me, and I did, and I liked it.

Now I have to admit that in addition to being a dominant, I am a sadist. Well, I don't have to admit anything, but I'm quite sanguine about it. I used to be a little embarressed I liked hurting people.

We did have a lot of typical neo-nate ideas but have slowly developed and the BDSM element of our realtionship has grown more prominant by becoming interweaved with everyday life. 24/7 is for us a definiton too far, but it ain't just a thing for play-time for us.

We started clubbing about a year ago and like scening when we are out. We've been to various places from the damn-awful to the really quite good, met some rather strange and other really fabulous people, most of whom were also rather strange.

Hail and greetings to you all.

Ooo... I would say Mercnbeth, that April is when the weather gets better. It's a bit warmer than March and it rains lots less;
