And Obama.

And Obama.

Obama was a "corporate bastard" how, exactly? A lot of the whining about Fetchit from believers in the magic of the free market in here was that a "community organiser" had no inkling of how the business world that is America's only hope for continued prosperity could save the economy if it was just left to do its thing without any intervention.

To the extent that 26-27% of voters constitutes "what the people want!" . . .

Well yeah, sure, if it fits whatever narrative you got going, there.

Do you not find it instructive that the cross-country mega-conglomerate media couldn't get enough of the asshole beforehand, indeed promoted his 'brand' at every opportunity, in fact, but now want to claim being in horror and bewilderment as to how he could have got elected?

So there's that, children.

And yet the Americans voted a greedy, soulless corporate bastard into office. Go figure. Although that being said, an argument could be made the same was true for Clinton.

Maybe, but Clinton is truly blue collar compared to the platinum-platted, rent-seeking scum we have in the oval now.

As George Will wrote during those times. Why did it take a center/leftist to put in rightist policies ?

He didn't have the balls to admit that the right had gone rent-seeking, corporatist and to exploit all of their free speech [sic]...in the bank.

What the right seeks is capitalist fascism controlling their slaves with wages and debt first, then violence, rather than communist fascists, controlling their slaves by violence first.

All throughout history, all systems of rule has the few elite exploit and impoverish the masses. That's how the so-called welfare state controls them like the great Roman grain handout.

The big difference ? Capitalists die younger without a health safety net which suits the powerful elite...just fine.

In the communist state, with some medical services, you live on being poor. In the capitalist state, you have an apt. (share it likely) take the bus so you can pay for your health. Or earn, pay millions in interest and maybe hit 75.

Better yet, if you are poor...you just die. You think Medicaid and food stamps will survive Trump and his cronies ?

That's the whole American (capitalist) Zeitgeist. You are to be a profit...period. If you are not a profit for yourself or somebody else, just go to jail or better yet, as soon as is practicable...die.

Romney for pres. " I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE 47%, (those are takers rather than makers) they aren't going to vote for him. Translation: the 47% can...just fucking die.

There's nothing but partisan shrill from the right. If Obama had an R after his name, he'd...be a god.

Does this make any sense to you?

Don't hold your breath: either you agree with syrup boy, or you're part of the liberal conspiracy to overthrow America and oppress the middle aged white guy. He's pretty much the last poster on here you should expect any grasp of nuance or moral ambiguity from...

Oh please! The markets are changed by unhinged credit, the speed of transactions, and the obsolescence of jobs driven by automation. And you lay that to some liberal conspiracy to overthrow America.

What a hoot!!
