ORIGINAL: JVoV So Republicans voted to stall efforts to remove George Santos. Cuz yeah, that makes sense. See, the wrongdoing Santos has obviously done shouldn't have to be criminal (though it probably is) for an elected member of the House to be removed. Let a jury decide guilt. Let the GOP decide if that's the sort of behaviour they'll put up with. They need his vote. Plain and simple. They are political whores. It's obvious to I would think everyone. That is why they voted to send him to the ethics committee, where he was ALREADY referred. No, they actually didn't need his vote. Although Republicans have a very slim majority in the House, they do have enough breathing room for Santos to not matter so much. And news of his methods was certainly available in time for any Committee assignments in his first term. Not much different than John Fedderman not creating a panic for the Dems in the Senate, when he decided to take time off. As opposed to Dianne Feinstein being absent due to her own medical needs, creating a 10-10 tie in the Senate Judiciary Committee . Republicans don't need Santos, or his vote. So there has to be more there. Hmmmm... I would disagree with you on that. They have a 9-seat advantage. If they lose 5, they lose a vote. (Keep in mind there is no filibuster in the House) I would say, and I have hear many political experts say they need his vote. There is no other reason to delay his ousting from the House.
