Your personal religion really has nothing to do with the topic at hand, so why should it have any impact on where you put the thread? Stop being a Karen.
The proper response would include an apology for posting in the wrong section, and actually owning the mistake, instead of making excuses for it. Man up already, damn. Hell, Spirited responded to your post to join the conversation, which probably would have died a lonely death otherwise, because - and this should be repeated - IT'S IN THE WRONG DAMN PLACE.
If you want to start a discussion, it would probably be best to do so in the right place. Posting a completely unrelated topic in this section has worse chances than starting a fantasy football league at a gay bar. You probably wouldn't get the kind of fantasies you were hoping for, just like you're not likely to get the responses you wanted with your OP. See, most of us that post in this section REALLY like to fight about stuff on the internet. Some of us are even good at it. And the rules are more relaxed here because politics and religion can be some heated discussions.
Now, why would it behoove you to post in the proper section? More involvement generally, so you may get a better variety of answers. Oh, plus you wouldn't look like such a dumbass. Just saying.
