I'm a Dom. And really I would say that it depends entirely on how important the actual collar is to you. Not what it represents. She's gonna be the one wearing it, not you, so I wouldn't have an issue with her choosing, as long as I approve the final selection. Or you can narrow it down to a handful that you would approve of and let her decide from that.
Now, I think, her motives are questionable. She may be trying to top from the bottom, or testing your actual dominance or some limit. Or it may simply be that she doesn't reist your taste in fashion for her and needs to be able to accessorize properly. You may pick out something that she just doesn't have a handbag to go with.
Or she may desire the quality time of choosing such a meaningful piece of jewelry with her new man. I've heard of Bridezilla, but is Slavezilla a thing?
Dudes are so much easier. I'm glad I'm gay.
