With results coming in across the country, it looks like Trump is gonna be the president again.
In Florida, neither recreational.marijuana or reproductive rights had enough support to get voted onto our constitution.

It looks like the GOP will retake the Senate, though the House races haven't been decided yet.

I have no idea what a second Trump administration will look like. RFK Jr is supposed to be in charge of health though, so that worries me.

That just happened again JvoV? Well, Fuck indeedy!

As much as I would like to google all his stuff but I don't have all night so here is the criminal shit I remember:

Trump Uni - Guilty

Treason - Guilty
Insurrection Guilty
Impeached twice - Guilty
Rape - Guilty
Sexual Assault - Guilty
Hush Money - Guilty
NDA's - Guilty
Trying to over turn 2020 - case pending
Emolument clause 2016 to 2020 - Guilty, rendered mute by "scotus" as he was no longer president. Presume they take that one back up or do they?
34 times a felon - Guilty
Raped Jean Carrol - Guilty
Defamed jean Carrol - Guilty

Hitler esque indeedy - The dehumanization of the other, the whipping up of the majority to see the minority as vermin, as vectors of “poisoned blood”. The normalization of violence as part of the political process. The mutual admiration of one dictator for another. The silencing of every voice except that of the dictator and his inner circle. The idea that the old couple next door, with their funny accents, raising their grandson, are criminals who must be arrested and dumped across the border.

Donald Trump will be the first president to take office while several criminal cases against him are still pending.

His ascent to the highest office in the US while facing dozens of criminal charges has plunged the country into uncharted territory.

Many of his legal problems will now go away when he steps foot in the White House, as he will be able to dismiss some of the cases as a sitting president.

Here's a look at what could happen with each of the four legal challenges he faces.

New York hush-money conviction
Follow live election day updates as Donald Trump wins

Donald Trump has already been convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the state of New York.

In May, a jury of New Yorkers found him guilty of the counts in relation to a hush-money payment made to an adult film star.

New York Judge Juan Merchan pushed back Trump’s sentencing from September to 26 November, after the election.

Judge Merchan could still go forward with the sentencing as planned despite Trump’s win, said former Brooklyn prosecutor Julie Rendelman.

Legal experts say it is unlikely that Trump would be sentenced to time behind bars as an older first-time offender.

But if he were, his lawyers would appeal the sentence immediately, arguing that jail time would prevent him from conducing his official duties and that he should remain free pending the appeal, Ms Rendelman said.

“The appellate process in that scenario could go on for years,” she said.

January 6 case
Special counsel Jack Smith filed criminal charges against Trump last year over his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden.

Trump has pleaded not guilty.

The case has been in legal limbo since the Supreme Court ruled this summer that Trump was partially immune from criminal prosecution over official acts committed while in office.

Smith has since refiled his case, arguing Trump’s attempts to overturn the election were not related to his official duties.

Who did each state vote for?

Analysis: Why the US gave Trump a second chance

When does he become US president?

Since Trump has won, his criminal problems from the case now “go away”, according to former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani.

“It’s well established that a sitting president can’t be prosecuted, so the election fraud case in DC District Court will be dismissed,” he said.

Mr Rahmani said that if Smith refuses to dismiss the case, Trump can simply get rid of him, as he has pledged to do already.

“I would fire him within two seconds," Trump said during a radio interview in October.

Classified documents case
Smith is also leading a case against Trump over his alleged mishandling of classified documents after he left the White House, charges Trump denies.

He is accused of storing sensitive documents in his Mar-a-Lago home and obstructing Justice Department efforts to retrieve the files.

The judge assigned to the case, Trump-appointee Aileen Cannon, dismissed the charges in July, arguing Smith was improperly appointed by the Justice Department to lead the case.

Smith has appealed the ruling.

But with Trump set to take office, the classified documents case now faces the same fate as the election case, Mr Rahmani said.

“The DOJ will abandon its Eleventh Circuit appeal of the dismissal of the classified documents case,” he said.

Georgia election case
Trump is also facing criminal charges in Georgia over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in the state.

That case has faced a number of hurdles, including efforts to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis over her relationship with an attorney she hired to work on the case.

An appeals court is in the process of weighing whether Willis should be allowed to stay on the case.

But now that Trump is the next president, the case could face even more delays, or possibly dismissal.

The case is expected to be paused during Trump’s time in office, according to legal experts.

Trump’s attorney Steve Sadow said as much when asked by the judge if Trump could still stand trial if elected.

“The answer to that is I believe that under the supremacy clause and his duties as president of the United States, this trial would not take place at all until after he left his term in office,” he said.

I might need a translator with all this mad shit Jvov

Shit you from Florida Jvov? Poor bastard

60% with both examples you stated? Abortion and Dope and counterintuitively some convicted rapist felon won Florida. No wonder you lot never make sense to me.

Don't blame me. I vote for her over the other guy. I live in Florida too. It's definitely misogynists for sure. Hillary was qualifed and she lost to this guy too. Maybe america will vote for a women president in 20 years. It'll happen someday. But just could be a maga woman who maybe wins though

All the more bemusing it wasn't even close. Hillary, Kamala and even Nikki Halley were fine. Trump is not as seen from what I wrote above.

Could he name all 50 states, point to them on a map? Could he point out Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, Lebanon, Golan heights, Iran on a map? I severely doubt any. North Korea and Russia perhaps. Well maybe not NK but I am sure he could pick Russia, but not Canada.

The next 4 years should be fun for you Americans and the world at large.

I can only conclude that there is something very wrong with half of America.

I don't think misogyny can be blamed for the election results in any of the cases mentioned. Hillary sucked as a candidate. Haley just wasn't Trump.

I think there are lessons the Dems need to learn. And fast.

I think misogyny had something to do with it but not solely. Hillary had alot of issues. Kamala was thrown under the bus by democrats really. Here, byiu have 3 months to run a multi years campaign. Perhaps she could run in 2028. Assuming trump doesn't destroy this country by then

I think there are just so many other reasons for Kamala losing that misogyny or racism don't even make the top 20 list of reasons.

Inquest in yet?
Your thoughts?

She lost 100% because of the cost of living. Nothing more, nothing less. 90% of American's vote they way they always have and always will.

The key was to know how to exploit the other 10% although I could reluctantly say that about all American elections.

America doesn't need an inquest I have done it for all of you but I was a little curious with everyone's thoughts in why you all think she lost.

To win you need not fight fair and you can exploit by using any and all nefarious means. Like that Russian Trump did. He isn't fit to run a piss up in a brewery let alone America, and that is me over looking he should be rotting in prison.

Hillary was extremely qualified and experienced. But she was a terrible candidate.

Kamala was less qualified and less terrible, but not actually good.

The parties are moving to the extremes and things are just getting crazy.

Mind you, I don't think Biden did a bad job as President, I just don't think he was the savior that we needed.

What we need is leadership that can tackle the hard issues and have the trust of the American people when they do it. That's gonna be somebody that can tell the hard truths and understand and even mitigate the natural reaction to them.

Climate change is real. 11 million Americans rely directly on oil and natural gas for their incomes. A viable alternative energy solution has not yet been introduced that can easily replace big oil.

Blah blah blah

How does it feel to have voters overwhelmingly tell you in no uncertain terms, that that guy is leagues better than you and yours, and in every conceivable way. And that thinking people everywhere no longer buy into the blatant propaganda rags that you 100% trust as gospel

Speak only for yourself, because Republicans are de facto centrist moderates.

President Trump is a former Democrat.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk... All Democrats from a few short years back.

The nation just elected Democrats from circa 2000, to lead us forward.

Trump has reportedly signed an Executive Order for the US to cut ties with the World Health Organization.

Try
P also signed a number of EO's ending Biden policies, like cheaper prescriptions.

The price of eggs is still the same and I haven't heard anything about a Russia/Ukraine ceasefire yet.

A full list of EOs signed by Trump so far can be found here:
https://www.axios.com/2025/01/21/president-donald-trump-executive-orders-list

And it looks like that page will be updated with new EOs signed, so it should be fun to watch.

I do not at all disagree with the designation of NS13 and certain cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and applaud Trump for finally doing that.

He has also declared a national emergency along the southern border. This is a technicality that will free up funding for the border. Right or wrong, it's faster than waiting for Congress to hand o er the damn money.

Ugh, so much to read. This may take a while to even process enough to know how I feel about some things.

Right now, the most disturbing to me is cutting ties to the WHO. That sounds like some RFK Jr brainworm shit.
