The federal government should help make all of the US have cell reception. That seems in line with the broadband internet goals. And probably more useful than a bunch of charging stations. Ohhhhh!!! Charging stations hooked up to big beautiful windmills that have cell towers on them too!

I can hardly wait for the next Dem trifecta.

Kamala Harris Failed to Connect One Person with High-Speed Internet with $42.5 Billion from Infrastructure Bill

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped to lead the administration’s rural broadband expansion, failed to connect one person with high-speed internet despite having $42.5 billion from the so-called infrastructure bill.

During his 2021 State of the Union address, President Joe Biden tapped Vice President Harris to lead the effort “because I know it will get done.”

Now, in 2024, it appears that the Biden-Harris admin has made little progress getting Americans connected to high-speed internet.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commission Brendan Carr noted in June that Biden and Harris did not connect one American despite having access to $42.5 billion in funding from the so-called infrastructure bill, or the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Carr noted on Wednesday, “President Biden put VP Harris in charge of this effort back in 2021 and days later not 1 person has been connected.”

He added, “Hundreds of broadband infrastructure builders are now sounding the alarm, writing that the $42 billion plan to expand Internet has been wired to fail.”

FAST REPLY -

Democrats are spending a lot of political capitol defending massive, mind-boggling government corruption and waste

It's a bold strategy, let's see how well it works out for them

quote:

A witness was testifying about USAID's corruption and got interrupted by raging protestors.

They held up signs saying, "Trump kills people with aids worldwide," blew whistles, and screamed until cops dragged them out.

There's no way these people aren't paid agitators.

Did any of the signs say anything about corruption, or were the protesters upset about certain programs being summarily refunded when the results are lives lost? I'm in favor of oversight and audits, and getting the most bang for the buck, but that's not what's happening. Entire departments are being ended and frozen with no plan presented as better. Trump should have done things differently. People have. Right to be upset.

There must be a program that pays you for driving traffic to X, with as many links as you post to it. Or maybe you just believe that shit. Since no evidence of protestors being paid has been presented, I have no reason to believe it.

I know this may be hard to hear, but Trump won. Get over it. The successes and failures of all prior administrations are now up to him to fix. Playing the blame game while doing nothing to fix the situation isn't a solution. I am not going to look into your claim, because it's irrelevant, whether completely true or not. It also has nothing to do with the direction of the conversation we were having. Your ADHD gives me whiplash.

I believe a solution to provide cellular coverage nationwide is possible and should be done. This rests with every elected official, not just the White House. Congress may have oversight committees, but each senator and Representative should be looking out for the people that elected them. Real oversight should start there. And governors, mayors, city council members, and any other local rep should be part of the solution as well.

The only reason to look back should be to learn from our mistakes and to correct them.

Kamala didn't create the issue, nor did it begin under her watch.

That is a lie. What is the source of your propaganda? Because the team of super geniuses assembled around the president indeed have plans, though your propaganda feeds refuse to allow you knowledge of them.

Here's a link to a very good article exposing many aspects of the censorship industry in great detail - I don't expect you to read it or learn from it, because experience tells me that that is beyond you:

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/matt-taibbis-opening-statement-congress-about-usaid-free-speech-and-censorship-machine

The reason I rely heavily on X is the censorship everywhere else. The censorship that you blindly refuse to see or acknowledge

Something else that you blindly refuse to see or understand is how DOGE has exposed a massive scandal in which taxpayer dollars are used to foment regime change here in the United States. The CIA and its affiliated agencies such as USAID have turned their regime change weapons on populist candidates here and in Europe, and they have heavily funded both censorship and in their own words, "Large Scale Social Deception".

Here, in the United States.

https://x.com/search?q=reuters&src=typed_query

The system is broken and must be smashed before it can be rebuilt. If you could see, you would readily agree.

But you refuse to see.

You keep saying people are /weregetting censored. Unless you can type out a specific case of this, we have nothing to discuss.

I am quite receptive to nrw ingormation anf have a Master's degree. I learned critical thinking before I started kindergarten.

I have done my research independently and believe the Democrats' version of things to be more accurate and their policies to be more in line with my own views. And I can freely admit that I don't support every decision they e made.

But you're the one regurgitating other people's words and dropping links to what others say.

Sure, you don't do facts, or video, or anything that isn't bought and paid for by the USAID arm of the CIA arm of the Democrat Party

I heard it a million times

Some weirdo leftist was laughing hysterically on another thread, about Boston protecting criminals from ICE

I pointed out how deranged that attitude is, I’m sure it will fall on deaf ears

Exactly like every other issue that put President Trump over the top in last fall’s election

These are 80% to 20% issues, with almost all Americans agreeing with Republicans in the polls and in voting booths

Democrats are repeatedly choosing the 20% issues while MAGA gladly assume the 80% issues

Boston is a perfect example of my point

I don't see an issue with the city fmfiving the family condolences. That no way negates anything they've done to support the officer.

But I understand that the officer is an employee of the city, which could be named in any civil suit, so the city would want to get ahead of that.

That's my opinion on the information you've provided. If there is more to the story which you haven't shared, my opinion could change.

ICE in Boston. That's cute. Maybe they'll have a little tea party.

It seems to me that democracy is working just fine in Boston. It's a sanctuary city, sure. That doesn't surprise me really though. Boston always also against returning escaped slaves to the plantations they came from. Seems like that's how the people of Boston are.

Some would say revolutionary.

Serious question - do you think that Republicans forced you Democrats to give up your slaves only because Republicans wanted to USE your slaves for electoral purposes?

In the same way Democrats are trying to USE the hordes of third worlders they flooded America with over the last four years, to make America a one-party communist (oligarchy) shit hole

I'd refute the entire premise of your question.

Considering the results of the election, I see no evidence to support your claim of fraudulent voting or a conspiracy to allow for that.

I also reject your oversimplified analysis of the ending of slavery, as it wasn't a GOP vs Dems issue. People belonged to both parties in the North and the South. Slavery was justified by conservatives at the time, while abolition was a progressive ideology. Christianity was used to justify both sides as well, just as it is with pretty much all civil rights discussions today.

Abolitionists valued the person, while slave owners valued their economic future. Some people will always put more stock into human rights than they do the almighty dollar. You only have to look at what happened after Lincoln's death to see the real GOP.

I believe that Lincoln was far more pure of heart and spirit than most other presidents. He was definitely one of the greats, in my mind at least.

Learn history before preaching about it - you are the party of segregation, slavery, Jim Crow, and the KKK.

Today your fascist DEI cult is racist against whites purely as a machination of USING minorities to gain power

Robert Byrd was literally a KKK recruiter who mentored both Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. Byrd served as the Democrat Senate Leader until his death in 2010

Biden eulogized him at his funeral

Propaganda "fact checkers" claim that Byrd wasn't a KKK "Grand Wizard" - but that's not the accusation.

Byrd was a KKK RECRUITER, who MENTORED Clinton and Biden, and who only "renounced" his KKK membership because, in his own words, it was a political liability - and he advised his cult followers to avoid it for that reason

quote:

"Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena." - Senator Robert Byrd https://quotefancy.com/quote/1116735/Robert-Byrd-Be-sure-you-avoid-the-Ku-Klux-Klan-Don-t-get-that-albatross-around-your-neck

I do.lnoe history
I also know that you change the subject every time you're proven wrong and it eventually gets to a "when did you stop hitting your wife" point.

Yup, some Dems have been racist. That Alabama governor that was against desegregation in schools, George Wallace, he was a Democrat. But so was the president that finally made desegregation in schools a thing, JFK. David Duke was a Republican. The NRA and Ronald Reagan were in favor of gun control when it came to the Black Panthers.

So yeah, there are and have always been racists on both sides. The party of Lincoln was also the party of Andrew Johnson.

You started this thread because Democrats have been asking "WTF?" since the election and one came up with an opinion you enjoy. Here's some news, most Dems have been questioning things since the election and pretty much all of them have a theory. As do I. But opinions are rarely factual. Analyzing the why doesn't change the reality though., not does it change anything the Republicans are doing right now, when they are in power.

I don't see DEI as anti-white any more than H1B visas. Some white guys just aren't qualified for certain jobs and some minority folks are far more qualified for the position.

I'm not in favor of rigid numerical values determining the satt's racial or gender makeup, but I have t seen evidence of that.
