American laws allow foreign influence over our elections through social media and that has not been changed or even mentioned by Congress that I know of. I just saw a TikTok video promoting a silly conspiracy theory that most Washington politicians have stock in Meta or X, so of course voted in a bipartisan fashion to ban TikTok, as it was hurting their bottom line. Just a silly conspiracy theory I'm sure.

I'm sure Zuck said it. But he's still too vague. And he wasn't involved in the conversations, so he only has secondhand knowledge of them? Maybe he was lied to? It happens. The task of fact-,checking isn't biased. A person can be biased about what they choose to factchecj though. I have never believed Zuck anyway.
