What I think of the UK? In brief: always enjoyed it when there (neighbouring isle included), in rain or sunshine. Well except train travels in the UK, and discussing Maggie-ism with Tories, both a mess. Now a bit angry about ETA, which should be DEF (Dover entrance fee), 16+ quid for what? 16 quid less for bringing Marmite back here for desparate Brit expats. Less Tory nonsense anywhere and in the news, that's a big achievement, though. I lost my bet that the SNP would quit the old treaty of union for good not so old EU within five years, and the province following. It didn't ruin me. I still believe Brexit was the biggest folly in British history since the Lionheart messed up his travel back from 3rd crusade. Some of my expat friends cured it by getting a passport with big harp on it thanks to good old granny from Co Cork, bless her. Nonetheless good craic all the time here and there. Time to follow the urge to visit the southwest gap I passed by, or to see the far north and test white pudding again, or do those climbing tours on Snowdon, or Croagh St Patrick I always thought I should do at some time. There are so many mountains still waiting for me Alpine chamois to get my lazy thighs on top. I always loved real mountains and seashore combined, and the UK and Éire got so many of those, not to forget other lovely features combined galore. Still some uisge and cheeses to be tested together waiting for me, not to forget tea and scones. In case you wonder, you made me a bit sentimental.
