BenignPlague -> Male Body Hair (7/30/2006 8:56:01 PM)

Hello, all, and thanks for reading.

I've often wondered what women in the kink lifestyle think of male body hair, particularly Dominant women.  It seems that so many have an affinity for forced feminization of their male subs, such as crossdressing, strap-ons, and so forth, and I wonder to what extent removal of body hair is expected or preferred, as typical social norms don't quite apply here.

I'm not Chewbacca, I'm not Peter Pan, but I'm somewhere in the middle.

Thanks for the responses,

Adam

Adam, dear.  I don't participate in forced fem activities, so body hair isn't really an issue for me.  That might have something to do with the fact that my other half is somewhere between "in the middle" and Chewy.  As long as the facial hair and eyebrows are well groomed, and the genitals clean-shaven, I'm all good.

Take care,
MrsShadows

Jasmyn -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/30/2006 10:32:07 PM)

Adam I like to dictate where and what can be hairy ... a lot of what was once taboos when it comes to the masculine and hair no longer applies, as long as the reason for it can be reasoned or explained in masculine terms ... a pair of smooth shave legs for example can be explained away as been necessary for a particular sport...or shaved genitals, something kinky "you and the misses" do...or "it's more hygenic and receiving head is fantastic"  ... depending on the boy, his confidence, his repore with the people who are in a position to comment on his hairlessness...the situation can be explained ... the beauty for the Mistress in control ...is, deep down, despite what ease he explains it away if caught... if it was done as an act of submission, he'll never forget the reason for his state.  I don't think hair, or attire, or conforming masculinity dictates 'maleness' so I enjoy playing with the taboos, even those watered down by civil liberties and personal freedoms and choice... very few men would feel comfortable telling their locker room or coporate mates their naked skin is not of their own making.

Misstoyou -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/30/2006 10:58:57 PM)

Since generally it can either be grown or removed to please an individual Domme, I don't see that body hair is a major issue for submissives.

My puppy is re-growing his genital hair because I, personally, enjoy literally grabbing a man by his "short hairs", *especially* while giving oral sex. On the other hand, he also has this perfect-for-me naturally smooth and hairless chest and back. I swear they're magnetic. Front or back, I can't keep my hands and/or implements off of him. [8D]

SweetDommes -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/30/2006 11:24:19 PM)

Personally, I'm grossed out by body hair - on anyone.  I'm as shaven as I can get away with (basically, I have my arm hair still, and my eyebrows and head hair ... and that's it) and I prefer my partners to be so as well.

LadyFeline -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 12:03:14 AM)

I do not like/participate in forced fem. Though I do like my sub to have his hair kept. Having a forest is not something that is appealing at all, nor is finding sheddings around the house. Facial hair is fine, but once again, too much is not appreciated. I prefer trimmed, because it provides good stimulation. *chuckles* I always had a thing for chewey.... but hair is fine, except in the crack, that has to go, that and back hair.
(My theory is that it migrates on men. It leaves their head to go to their upper lip, then their chin then lower and ends up below the shirt collar.)
Ok, enough sense of humor here, but seriously, hair is fine as long as it's maintained.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 3:45:11 AM)

Ok, so I'm the opposite here (nothing unusual there huh?)... personally, I like body hair on men, that includes genital hair. Not the gorilla type though, I believe there is such a thing as tooo much hair. but some is nice. I'm not into clean shaven anything, I like facial hair and even long hair on men. Ok, granted, I want it well taken care of... but I just can't deal with shaving the body or face on a man...

MisPandora -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 4:10:05 AM)

I'm particular about hair on men of any sort.  I don't deal well with long hair or long sideburns.  Mustaches and goatees must be neat and rigorously maintained.  Even hair on head needs to be religiously shorn, preferably in a buzz/crew or even taken down to razor level.  As far as hair below the neck, I do not play with gorillas -- chests should be trimmed if they are jungle-level.  Pubes will be trimmed or shaven to suit my personal taste to their body.  Pits and legs can remain in their natural state (I don't fem men.)

Oh, and NO ass-crack-hair!

Lashra -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 5:59:11 AM)

I don't like body hair, my ex was like a gorilla YUCKKKKK!![:'(]  My boy keeps his body hair to a minimum because thats how I like him.

Back hair is scary. A little chest hair is ok, but I prefer smooth. Armpit hair is OK as long as it doesn't look like I could grab it and braid it. I don't mind pubic hair as long as it's trimmed, but I find hairy balls aesthetically unappealing. Leg hair...not really a problem unless it's hard to see his leg through it. I also don't like unibrows, bushy eyebrows, nose/ear hair that peeks out....

Yep.  They generally get a warning to get that stuff taken care of before I tie them down and do it with Kelly forceps, one hair at a time.

I love body hair. I can't stand a clean shaven pubic area! I love a man with hair on his chest and I love to run my fingers through it and grab hold and pull <eg>

thetammyjo -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 9:31:07 AM)

I think you know the answer to this question: Each woman is different.

You are lucky in that you have some body hair -- you can please women who like that and if you are willing to shave you can please women who don't.

Growing more hair might be a problem.

Thank you all for the helpful insights.

There was one recurring theme that, as much as the replying posters seem divided about facial and chest hair, I've noticed.

Being incredibly new to the idea of Manscaping anywhere by my head and genitals (and sometimes trimming the armpits in summer) ...  where would one even go to handle the back and ... um... rear?  Not a fan of experimenting with duct tape here, and never used that section of the yellow pages before....

Since women can go to have body hair removed by waxing, I would imagine men can as well though it might take more effort to find a place to do it.

I would wait until you know what the preference is of someone you are in in serious discussion with.

Once you are in a relationship she might do it for you or to you -- depending on how you view it. You can make it a "scene" too. It is a matter of how you spin it.

Take these personal examples -- Fox shaves his private parts himself but I have done it and when I have he feels very small, very controlled. However, I don't shave my private parts myself -- either Tom or Fox does and when they do I feel powerful and pampered. It is all really a matter of how we spin it in our heads and the interactions we have.

Oumae -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 9:55:43 AM)

BenignPlague salons here do what they call a back, sack and crack wax but as others have said before maybe best to wait and check what your Domme wants.

I myself like smooth faces, trimmed pubes, shaved scrotum and like MoGa I love running my fingers through chest hair and pulling.

MsKatHouston -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 12:49:11 PM)

I dislike pubic hair but enjoy chest hair.  My body hair preferences have nothing whatsoever to do with feminization.

BenignPlague -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 7:28:16 PM)

It's not so much as in "looking for what my Domme wants"... I don't have one, and am not planning on being collared very soon.  However, I can see it interupting with certain...activities I currently enjoy.  It's more my preference, and finding out how to do it (or where, rather, as in a salon) but I was curious as to everyone's take

Thanks

Evanesce -> RE: Male Body Hair (7/31/2006 8:37:50 PM)

Long hair is good.  Mustaches and goatees, as long as they're neatly trimmed, are good.  Genital, leg, and armpit hair are just fine with me.  Chest hair, I prefer to be minimal to moderate.  Back and ass hair are unacceptable, and I'd be waxing regularly any boy who served me.  If I can epilate, so can he.

Most salons or spas that offer waxing have someone that will cater to men's grooming.
