Having mirrors over the bed is a fun thing too!
You can get the ones that stick to the ceiling @ Lowe's along with a lot of other different types.
I like to use a penis gag as they add somewhat to the humiliation factor and I can tease my sub about it like; "That's what you need little girl, a rubber cock in your mouth to suck, lick it with your tongue!" and things like that.
And for the subs who think they can wriggle out of it I put an extra notch in the strap to make it tighter.

I have never been gaged in play only for discpline. In my mind a gag is not really a toy. It does tend to make me remember my place and to think before I speak.

On the other side of the coin I am in charge of slaves in my Mistress' house, if a slave raises thier voice to me or is otherwise verbally disrespectful they will wear the orange ballgag (provided no health risk is envolved if there is we have a ring gag as well) for a period of time.

Recently a slave raised her voice to me I told her once more and she would experince the gag, she laughed and expressed her belief it was too tame them raised her voice to me again. 15 minutes later she no longer thought it a tame discpline.

Mmmm gags hold a special place for me, I get a nice bolt of pleasure thinking about them..... [:)]  *brings self back to reality* Personally I love the look of a nice red ball gag firmly in place. Simply put,

Personally a gag is a very strong reminder of dominance, you realise that truly everything is a gift that you can earn and lose. It can also be the perfect supplement to punishment. You know you're in trouble when your Dom/me doesn't even want to listen to you. And that's not mentioning the obvious, they are the perfect accessory for every sub, very chic. [:D]  I love them but I tend to get in trouble for not making noise as it is.

I like gags because I tend to be slightly talkative, so the gags shut that down immediately.  My owner tends to like gags because of the look in the persons eyes when they are gagged (I have no idea what the look... looks like).

Ohhhhhhhhhh... and I have such a hard time with ball-gags!  My jaw gets all outta whack with the darn things; even little ones.  I do better with my bit-gag (a strip of leather with plastic tubing over it)...I find I chew on it for some reason.  Perhaps anxiety?

My Dominant loves gags because of the humiliation factor - drooling.  I think He also likes them because I talk a lot.

are you kidding me? for anyone to use a gag on me during play would be depriving them of my humour. I have an awful tendency to make jokes or say veeeerrry funny things while i'm in a session.
But i have been gagged and it's an excellent reminder that i can stay silent and enjoy it, or scream my head off and enjoy it, it won't make one bit of difference- i'm alone and helpless. plus, it's just so hot to see a boi with a gag in his mouth and that look in his eye that says he's loving it
