greetings - in the vanilla world, i do know the meaning of dilation - but in the world of BDSM - i do not. would someone please explain its meaning.

Dilation is the stretching of the muscles of some rather tight areas. It can be used for many reasons, a couple of the more popular reasons may be fisting or anal play. That is the definition I would know about but there may be more.

That pretty much sums it up!

For some, it's the end result that is most pleasurable. For others, it's the actual stretching.

Dilation can be used in anal training, stretching the anus with each larger insertion.As the size of the dildo or dilator increases you can hold in this due to a tighter fit.
I personally have been conditioned to take up to three different plugs and this was used in a disciplinary manner.I held in quite a bit of solution for a longer period due to a larger insert.
