There's some subtle distinctions.......
Being struck while someone is angry .....ok, fair enough and sometimes understandable...and not necessarily awful or destructive OR abusive.
Being angry doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with *out of control*.
If you've been in the relationship for a pretty long time, you will already know how *out of the ordinary* the behaviour is.
On the face of it, it's easy to say ...abuse........but quite honestly......if you FEEL you've been abused, that is a stronger indicator.
