What do fem subs and others feel about exploring their sexual and submissive desires with a professional male Dom. Assuming the Dom was verified as a safe and skilled mentor, what comes up for you around the idea of a fem sub learning more of their lifestyle interests, and what may hold them back, with a pro male Dom/mentor/guide?

There are so many doms available looking for femsubs that i doubt many subs would feel they had to pay for it. JMHO.

The only thing there are more of than male subs is male doms. And of course, the only thing there are more of than male doms is male subs. To paraphrase Keanu Reeves in Parenthood .... "You have to have a license to fish, a license to hunt. Hell, you even have to have a license to drive a car. But they'll let any butt reaming asshole call himself a Dom or sub." Too bad there isn't a regulating authority somewhere that issues certificates. I'm thinking they can call it The Society for the Prevention of Assholes who have No Klue. What we need here is a pedigree to prove you're who you say you are. You know ... like when cab drivers have to post their picture and license in their cabs?

Daka I think there is a very real need for professional male doms in the professional area of BDSM. I have pro dommed on and off for a few years now and often get approached by fem subs seeking a reputable male dom for sessions, but in their abscence see professional Mistresses.

At our recent Erotica Expo in New Zealand, the male dom manning the BDSM stand was approached by numerous women asking him if he offered professional sessions.

Getting involved with a reputable Fem Dom offering pro sessions might be a good place to start.

I appreciate your idea..and the sweetness in the tone it was offered. In fact I have had a client referred to me by a pro Dom and also women who practice Tantra...networking is a good venue.

proudsub and alwayron,

I know the general opinion is that women have plenty of opportunity to find a Dom, but as was noted, finding one who can actually provide what a submissive may desire, to sort out what is true, without the expectations that may be placed on her in a realtionship, is not so easy...and neither is finding a committed partner for thata matter. It has been my experience that some women do in fact find fair value in seeking out my serivces, and I am gratified that they place their trust in me.

I know most pro dommes do not include sex in the arrangement. Is it the same with you?

Personally, pro anything (dom, domme, sub, whatever) has a place it will work. But to me it's where I live. Sure, paying rent every month gives me a roof over my head (paying a pro), but it it is not as satisfying as knowing that the house we live in we have a true stake in. ::laughing:: since you can lose it for taxes, and most owe a mortage company, you never really *own* the house, but the work you do to keep it in good repair and comfortable is more tangible. You can *belong* to the community, develop, and actually KNOW it's real... not just something you can get kicked out of at the whim of another (landlord not renewing/pro deciding they are too busy for you).

Yes, people lose it... but as long as you have it, it seem much more real to me....
