Smiles2cu,

The humor is creeping back-- here's to more good days than not as good.

rubytuesday -> RE: My wife (12/14/2004 11:50:26 PM)

Well said velvetvixen - and if theres one thing I like about smile2cu (actually theres more than one thing ;-) ) his sense of humour is pretty damn good.

If I could get a job exporting refrigerators to Ohio I;d be there...........

Free is the mind which hid the pain
Free is the heart which will love again
Free is the soul which soars with her
Free is the life which will live again
Free is the eyes which tear easily
Free is the hands that will tend to self again
Free is the Wife of Earthly Pains
Free is the Man to Live Life again

Sorrow tends to creep up on the strongest of Us smile.
If you dont take time to feel sorrow for your loss now
it will creep up on you at the most unopertune moment.
Take out the photograph books when your alone and
feel freely again. No need to move her things right away.
Do so later when you feel its time, not when others say.
Write your feelings down. You wont remember them later.
Remember the reasons you first loved her and not her end.
My feelings are full for you and yours smile2cu. [&o]Take care.

Very nice indeed!

I'm taking your advice, and allowing myself to feel, both the good and the bad. And also on making the timing mine, rather than what others say.

And for all of you - A progress report:
I'm doing pretty well. I'm fairly well snowed in, which I hate, but I stopped into the local travel agent and signed up for a Caribbean cruise at the end of January for my son and me. I'm really more of a summer person. I think we'll head south after the first of the year, and spend some time on the Florida beaches.
Much better than sitting here and feeling sorry for myself! [;)]

Smile,
How are YOU doing. I seem to recall you having some health problems yourself. So, how about physically? Since you've briefed us on mentally.

rubytuesday -> RE: My wife (12/28/2004 12:11:37 AM)

wow smiles you best book a whole cruise ship to yourself by the time everyone else fits in - justcall it the CollarMe Love Boat :-) Its summer here and the weather sucks big time so book me a space too..........

I'm pleased you are doing what you need to and that you are ok - just thinking about you and sending you lots of halfway across the world positive thoughts - damn have you thought about a cruise to New Zealand ;-)

hugs and smiles
ruby

sweetpleaser -> RE: My wife (12/28/2004 6:04:08 AM)

Hey Smile; I just got back from a great 7 day cruise to the western Caribbean. It was heavenly!! Try to get a cruise that includes Key West; it's a blast!! Cozumel was great also. We took a speed boat excursion that was a lot of fun. Grand Cayman is fun but don't waste your money on the semi-submersible.[;)] Wear a hat because the sun beats down on you.

Enjoy yourself.

smile2cu -> RE: My wife (12/29/2004 7:45:55 PM)

Thanks to all of you! Certainly you're all welcome to join me.
proudsub is welcome in my luggage. And you're all the right gender.
(For a brief moment there, I almost said the gentler sex, but that would exclude Dread, and I wouldn't want to do that!)

Gloria, Physically, I'm doing pretty well, but still not functioning down there. The doctor said I shouldn't expect to yet, but I'm somewhat impatient. The other effect, which he says will pass, is incontinence. Very annoying. I know I said that I wanted to try water sports, but this wasn't quite what I had in mind! [sm=lol.gif]

Dread, I plan on heading to Florida, with my son, sometime toward the weekend of January 8th. I'll probably stop in Atlanta, as I have relatives there, then head toward Orlando and Kissimmee. I'll probably spend about a week there, doing the touristy things. Somewhere after that, we'll head toward Delray Beach, where I've got some more relatives. I see that Highland County is somewhere in the middle, so I'd be happy to meet.

jillwfsub4blkdom, The thoughts were indeed beautiful.

Eventually, my son and I get to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

rubytuesday, the CollarMe Love Boat is the Star Princess, leaving January 30th. The ship goes to their private island, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios. I plan on staying on the ship most of the time, except I'm a scuba diver, so I want to feed the sting rays. My stateroom is on the Lido deck (an interior room, since I don't plan on spending much time in the room (unless someone would like to join me [sm=tongue.gif]) I'm only 4 rooms away from Neptune's Pool.

A cruise to New Zealand.... Hmmm [:)]

sweetpleaser, I'll rememember to wear a hat. I miss Key West this time, but might stay in Florida after the cruise and drive south.

Here's a picture of the deck where my stateroom is:

Dear Smile,
am very sorry for your loss...
I understand on some level that it's different when you've been feeling this loss for a lot longer than when it actually happened.
Hope you're hear heals and all becomes okay in time.
Hugs, M

I'd be happy to pick you. So far the list is remarkably short, but I have high hopes. [:)]
