We are going to see some funny shows on The Daily Show in the coming weeks as they compare and contrast Fox News coverage of the Palestinians and Cuban exiles. Palestinians shouldn't have any right to return to the land they once owned. Cubans should have every right to return to the land they once owned. Knowing Fox, they will probably say both without the slightest explanation and simply count on the gullibility and stupidity of their target audience not to notice any sort of cognitive dissonance in those two concepts.

As far as I know, the cuban exiles have not started a suicide bombing campaign in Havana...that makes all the difference that needs making.

Tune in to Fox and watch for yourself. And while you are laughing because you think people who fled a dictatorship and failed in an invasion are morally equivalent to people who celebrate the death of civilians, you might also see the clip of the ranking Dem in the House refusing to condemn Hezbollah........

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. I will give you that. You fight with what you have. I look at the goals and tactics. The Palestinians DON"T want their land most, they want Israel to not exist. The King David Hotel was British Headquarters, a pizza parlor is the target of cowards.

I seem to remember hearing that the pizza parlor was a Hamas attack.... Didn't the Palestinians vote them in to run the show??? Weren't the Palestinians the ones running into the streets to celebrate 9/11 until someone told them it was bad PR??? I've lost my sympathy for them and their cause and over the years, a lot of respect for those who will apologize for them.

Rich, I simply predicted there would be those who riducule the Palestinians desire to have their stolen homes returned and yet see no problem with Cubans demanding the same. So lets flip your argument, are you admitting that if the palestinians hadn't resorted to violence they would have had legitimate claims that Israel illegally stole their land?

Perhaps I've traveled too much and met many people from other nations, religions, and backgrounds? I've found that we Americans pigeon-hole other groups and cultures and "by God...them folks over there sure nuff is a bunch a terriers" or "bunch of commies..." or "they all worship cows"....frightening the things I've heard... Sorry, don't buy into the Fox News or CNN interpretion of the world. Submitted respectfully. Irishbynature

By no means do I define each individual who identifies as Palestinian by the suicide bombers. I wouldn't define every German individual in 1937 Germany by the Nazis. But yes. I DO identify their culture/state/national identity by a gang of murdering scum. And they aren't trying very hard to change my mind....

It was the UN that gave Israel that first little piece of land and Israel didn't start any of the wars that gave them more. I reject the assertion of 'stolen land' as propaganda. Where would you get the idea that I'm opposed to violence? My issue is with the how and where the violence is applied and to what purpose.

Rich, Your grasp of history seems to be unique. While I believe that Israel was justified in going to war, they did start the '56 and '67 wars. As for the UN, if they decided America had to give back Alaska to Russia or California to Mexico, I assume then you would support that decision? In fact, I bet you support the UN strongly and are opposed to Bolton right? I mean to do otherwise would be greatly hypocritical. As for propoganda, do you know who Mosha Dayan was? Do you think Palestine was vacant prior to 1948? I mean, even if you side with Isreal, have some respect for reality. As for the other question you tried to slide by, either say you don't want to answer it, or answer honestly.

Cash in the case of Alaska, and compensation in the case of California. In both cases the transfer was done by treaty signed by the prevailing government's of both countries at the time. I am amazed that there are those who even disregard or in complete ignorance side with Israel's shameful behavior of attacking other nations. How can some of you deny that Palestinians were kicked out of their lands because they were not Jews or accepted as citizens of that new country? What about the terrorist activities carried out by Hagganah when it was a "Palestine" and administered as a British mandate? soemthing to think about.... in terms of the difference its quite simple...Cuban exiles are exiles of a country that has been kept hostage by a thuggish communist tyrant and by a communist system. They have a country. Palestinians do not have a country, and Israel mocks them daily... Why are some Americans so zionist? They act as if protecting Israel equals protecting the US....
