lilserenity -> Better Bottoming (12/13/2004 10:06:29 AM)

I will state in my OWN opinion about bottoming without any words..Since my words are not what people want to read but only want to know where I got my words.. Yes I am a published writer and I enjoy my writing .. But when someone send s me something to post or read I do so and I DONOT care where it came from as long as the point came out and exactly. Being a bottom makes me strong and bold in my opinions and staements and decisions.. I run a Dominant website and I help many even a few here when I get a post from a Dominant I like to share it with ALL not just subs/slaves..but ALL.. Not many know what a bottom is and their place in the lifestyle. But I will state this much it takes common sense to be what you want to be and act accordingly as such.. Whether Dom/me,switch,sub/slave we are equal in our places not physically but emotionally and we all think the same to some degree, not being bossy or judgementally but having our needs met and doing do with honor and respect. Sorry that people have to pick onother because they want to share somethig that may save a life or keep a newbie free from harm or making mistakes. We are in the family to help others ,not to judge each other .. smiles . So donot worry I will not post anything that will be anyone elses words. Like I said I received it and placed it to help not hurt.. My apologies if anyone was hurt..Be well and happier serenity

Relax, and respond. Quite often a top will enjoy topping you because of your reactions--the way you wriggle, and squirm, and cry out. If you clench every muscle and strive to endure without giving _any_ sign that you're feeling anything, your top may get frustrated with the lack of feedback. Let yourself feel. And don't hold your breath! Or rather, don't forget to breathe. (If, of course, you _negotiated_ a "stoic endurance" scene, that's different. But don't feel you _have_ to act that way. I like it when my bottoms struggle--they have a safeword if they need it.)

Actually RESPOND was one of the best pieces of advice that I received from someone when I was a newbie, especially since I had assumed that the top would prefer me to be quiet and "take it" -- and finding out I was wrong and should just let go and feel, respond, struggle was not only better for the top, but I felt it very freeing as well.

Excellent post and advice, lilserenity, thanks for the comments!!

The following is NOT part of the original article.

So many have no clue how to bottom or be better at it so I will post what I know to help those beginners that think if you lay on your back thats bottoming and thats all you think there is too it,wrong... read and enjoy...This is what many do not know.. It is hard especially if One use to be Dominant or just a sub/slave always topped,..

I quote myself from another thread.

lilserenity.. If you are going to continue to post other peoples work, either get permission from the site or the author. At the very least, quote the site and author if permission is given to copy on the site.
If you want to add a personal comment after, that's fine but do not change or add on to the original piece.

Interesting that she is a published author and still doesn't give credit. Here's an excerpt from her profile:
"I am a poet world-wide have two books out across world-wide and have several publishing awards..."

MsCameron...

Thank You for pointing such an important fact out that Angel failed to acknowledge.

Peace and Love

MsCameron -> RE: Better Bottoming (12/14/2004 12:18:26 PM)

There was another thread called Quotes and Truisms from December 3rd, 2004 where I addressed this issue with the poster. It was never responded to.

Sorry proudsub :) I'm not sure how to get the thread up for direct reading as you do so well.

I didn't want to say anything ...(believe it or not).... but her posts are soooo long and drawn out that I don't even read them anymore. Sorry LS ....

You're welcome but I'm confused. In the other thread I cited the original author and site. It wasn't my work and I didn't post it.

Whoops!! I stand corrected, MsCameron, and thank you. I misread and the acknowledged author was posted above.

No problem, easy to find when i have the title:

quotes and truisms

I'm surprised lilserenity didn't learn her lesson after that thread.[:'(]

The information she keeps posting is good, but needs to be credited to the author, not posted as her work.

If you're a published writer then I'm an olympic triathlete. The grammatical errors you've made in your original thread are atrocious. I stopped reading after the first three run-on sentences. The number of subordinate clauses you've placed ahead of their main clauses are equally appalling.

But then again ... if a rapper can be called an artist, you can be called a writer.

Guest -> RE: Better Bottoming (12/14/2004 7:03:37 PM)

I am locking this thread. The original poster has been warned that continuing to post copyrighted work without permission of the author will cause her to be placed on restricted posting mode. There is another thread if someone wants to discuss plagiarism (though I moved it to lounge since it is not BDSM related), but do not get personal and flame or your posts will be edited or pulled.

Thank you.
