LadyEllen, I am glad that I have given you the proper and official definitions of the terms.

But your feminist bullshit died a few years ago. Mostly becuase women rejected it.  The feminst hero, Bill Clinton put the final nails in the coffin.  You say that there is nothing men can do but women can't and vice versa in one sentence and then in the next sentence give a bunch of differences.

If women want to compete with men, I say bring it on although I think life works a lot better if men and women accept their respective roles.  But women, compete without preferential treatement with affirmative action type programs and quit complaining or playing the harassment victim every time a man makes a sexual advance or sexist comment.  It is all part of the game.

Where have you been if you haven't seen completely inocmpetent women promoted simply because they are women.

This is a serious question.

Why do men feel compelled to controll a woman's sexuality?

When a woman DOES embrase her sexuality, she is then called a slut, whore, and/or bitch?

What frightens men so that they need to do this?

I haven't read the thread so someone may have already said this:

I actually find WOMEN, ten times more often than men, are the ones who try and put OTHER WOMEN down for their sexuality, who compare, who compete, who trash.

Men, far more often, are intimidated and unsure with how to deal with a women's sexuality at all.  They rarely have the good luck to find themselves a woman willing to teach them well.

CrappyDom -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 4:11:11 PM)

In my experience, men only mock women they want to sleep with but can't.

I guess having good taste comes with a price.  Me, I am glad those women have good taste.

amastermind -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 4:12:25 PM)

Lotus, I think that after you get fucked so long, and hard that you don't remember your name, your question will not be so important anymore.

Now if females are so prized.. why do some cultures treat them like sh*t?

I am of the opinion that it isn't the women that are the prudes... it is the men.

Women figured the best way to get ahead was to sell their bodies.  And the market is fierce.  It's the MEN who outlaw it although they partake of it. It boggles the mind!

And if a man's seed is so precious... THEY should be the ones more discriminating as to where they put it. Then if the woman want's to couple with the male of her choice...  she'll do what it takes to get there.

I like how this post... And this whole thread, come to think of it, assumes that 'men' are all one singular organism; a giant behemoth of pure testosterone which not only controls all of society and culture, but stamps its gargantuan feet on the rights of women everywhere. Men, as the creature is called, gnashes its jaws in delight at the sign of a female being violated, but rears back in terror at those who would dare take up the brilliant golden shield of feminism.

'Generalization' is the word of the day, it seems.

Back to the original question at hand... Why do I, as a dark agent of the shadowy Men seek to strip women of their sexuality? Why do I use words such as 'slut' or 'whore' on a regular basis to describe those women who have fallen from a christian ideal of grace, while commissioning prostitutes for my own sick pleasure?

Oh, yeah. I don't.

Maybe I take it too personally when people try to demonize an entire gender... Maybe it would help if people realized that it was bad human beings that make the world an unpleasant place, not one sex, race, or creed.

  Right!!!
   And I'm not quite sure where so many women are getting this idealized version of their pasts; maybe they've been reading too much Andrea Dworkin.  If women were the venerated, divine Goddesses they claimed to have been thousands of years ago, their social status in ancient history comes as quite a shock.  I think that they've spent too much time in the Pagan Mythology section perusing Wiccan propaganda.

Dtesmoac -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 4:38:51 PM)

Lotus you missed the point, at a time when many values of  morn societies and religeons were first created the important thing was the status of the victor this then lead to behaviours which resulted in social norms. Only a powerful society or man could ensure their / his women were chaste. It had nothing to do with what the women saw felt or thought only how it reflected on the status of the male. Of course there is also the importance of keeping the blood line true for transfer of titles, power etc which also relied upon enforcing a chaste female society. For the lower social orders and the  defeated there was only the victor / powerful takes all rule ans so unchaste women tended to equate with those at the bottom of the social order.

My whole point was that it is  not a "christian" or religon created circumstance more of a biological one.

TreSwank -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 4:42:23 PM)

Good sound thinking.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 5:29:33 PM)

Just a general response to the Original Post.

I don't think men want to control women anymore than women want to control men. LOL. Tell me you haven't saw a man controlled, it even has a nice term to it Pussy whipped. Or women that use sex as a way to punish the husband.

Slut, why are sluts viewed bad, well, almost all the women I'd call sluts outside of joking,  fuck anybody they want to, whether they have husbands, or boyfriends. It's the lack of respect for others relationships that made slut a bad name. Barring that I have no problem with a slut. She can do what she wants, would I personally want to be involved with a woman that has done 25 guys in a year. Hell no, but I couldn't imagine a woman wanting to be with a guy that did the same. It's more of a health concern for me. If there were no diseases, I really wouldn't care at all.

Whore is a women that fucks for material gain. That's just what it is. So, anna nicole smith would fit the criteria. Married and fucked a 90 year old for money. LOL. So, she's a whore. It's not my fault whores don't like being called whores, hell if the definition matches.

As far as being frightened, well I have no idea what men you are talking about. Frightened?

By the way, the most anti-porn, anti-whore, anti-slut people in the world I've met are all women.  I mean LOL, I know my grandpa, dad, brothers, male friends, are all at least pro-porn, and pro-whore. I know my grandmother, mother, sister, female friends, are all anti all of the above, barring tolerance for porn to some degree.

yeah, I'm thinking this is a made up issue, that really doesn't exist. Why not try this go ask your friends what they think of sluts, and whores. I'm sure the men will be less negative towards them than the women.

LadyEllen -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 5:32:04 PM)

Treswank - for your information, if you look at Roman and Greek pagan society then yes - women were not so well treated. I was talking about my ancestral culture, Germanic paganism (Asatru) where women were accorded equitable rights with their menfolk. I follow Asatru - the only real form of modern paganism; real because unlike other revived forms it is based on substantial records. It is also FYI an official state religion in Iceland - it is nothing to do with and is nothing like Wicca which is a concoction of confabulations and fantasy.

amastermind - please re-read what I wrote; yes I said that women can do any task which men can, and vice versa. I then said that even so, there are some tasks for which one gender is better suited - this is not to say that a woman cannot perform heavy manual labour, only to point out that men are better suited to it, for example. Equally a male can read and a female can read, but a female has much better comprehension of what she reads than a male, because her brain is better suited to that skill.

FYI, I have worked in a male dominated industry for the last twenty years - thats "where I have been". In my industry I am one of very few females in the entire country who has reached my level - and I like other females am only here because I started my own company. The question is, why was I overlooked for promotion and had less qualified and less able males promoted above me when I worked for others, when its clear by my current success that I had more than enough ability? And by the way I'm not just saying these males were inferior without basis - the company in question saw its results fall by miles and turned into a miserable place to be when they were appointed and imposed their stupidity. Until that time I had led our little team of women and we had made a lot of money and we had a lot of fun. Clearly though, we stupid women required male supervision?

Lastly, women and ethnic minorities would not require affirmative action, were it not for the ingrained attitudes in our society. Were it the best person for the job, rather than the best middle class white male, there wouldnt be a problem in the first place, would there? Unluckily the type of macho bullshit you seem to be spouting did not die out years ago it would seem.

Sex is fine, using it to control anyone is not.

And women use sex as a weapon WAY more than men do.

 To women who use sex as a weapon - damn you- like you'd care- wreck it for the rest of us who enjoy sex   as mutual expression and pleasure.

So F. 'd up!

No one is using it as a weapon in this thread.   Having it be used against us is the issue.

Fawne -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 6:55:37 PM)

Sorry: I wrote that above too fast, Lotus Song, forgive me. I didn't mean it as about this thread or with anyone in mind.

BTW, and respectfully,  I think that a Domme does have the status given to her by consent to control her boy's sexuality. Same for a male Dom with his slave.
I myself am talking about RL, mainly vanilla world where some women tease and hurt males in a bad way.
PS need to add: yes, historically, even currently there is a double standard. May be the "vanilla" but women are called sluts in a derogatory manner (not the fun kind like here) and men are admired studs. Women's sexuality is well... how we all got here. A lovely vessel.

To those who doubt women were valued- there is historical proof from more than one culture.  Ancient Goddess, fertility figures etc. are discovered world wide.

amastermind -> RE: Controlling Women's Sexuality (8/2/2006 7:34:55 PM)

Ellen, stop your whining.  You aren't the onlyy one in the world who was denied something that he/sher deserved.  And who is to say that you were denied promotion because you were a woman anyway?  And if it was a privately held company, in my sexist opinion the owners had a right to promote whomever they wanted for whatever reason they wanted.  That includes not promoting you  for refusal  to give the boss a blowjob.

That the company turned to shit just proves my point.  If what you say is correct (we are only hearing your version of it) they were stupid for not promoting you and paid the price for their stupidity.  You also proved my point by starting your own business.  If you want to, promote only women.   That is your right.   But you will be stupid too.  You should promote whomever you think will help your company the most.

The only reason you are for affirmative action is because you don't feel you are good enough to succeed without it.  So you want to cheat and have the rules give you an advantage you weren't able to get by using your sex appeal. Because if you think about it, that is what affirmative action is; cheating.
