All this Republican/Democrat political shit gives me tiredhead.  Bring on the Green Party!

joyinslavery -> RE: Clinton vs Bush (8/3/2006 12:11:33 AM)

One more thing...I must admit to being both surprised and a bit shocked to see how many people in this lifestyle are staunch Republicans.  If there's one 'group' in this country that is doing (apparently) everything it can to snuff out our lifestyle or, at the least, name it something foul and evil, it's the right (Christian) wing of the Republican Party.

Never ceases to amaze me but then again I'm an idiot.

seems that Dominants or subs with hard right Dominants are more likely Repubs ( note LIKELY not always ). Read an interesting psych thing on hard right conservatives ( not particularly Repubs )

Maybe it is because we are not part of the right (Christian) wing. And what makes you think that left wingers are friends of this lifestyle? They are probably trying to figure out a way to tax this lifestyle.

Rock and a hard place. Deviants or politically incorrect.

Dude, whether you know it or not, you are.  As I mentioned, this shit gives me complete tiredhead due to the dogma associated with someones political leanings but the fact remains that a vote for George Bush is a vote for social conservatism (due to the influence of the Christian right in the Republican Party) and a vote for social conservatism is a vote against our lifestyle.  Plain and simple.  Check the party platform.  Check the voting record.  I know we all want our cake and eat it too (whatever the hell that means) but the fact remains that of the 2 scumbag parties (Republicans and Democrats), we are MUCH more likely to be fucked with by the Republicans.  All of the adult oriented sites currently having to shut down is exhibit A.

Estring -> RE: Clinton vs Bush (8/3/2006 12:35:35 AM)

Really? Then I guess anyone who is a democrat is a leftist and an athiest? Careful with your sterotypes. And I seem to recall Tipper Gore (that well known Right winger) leading the crusade to censor rock music in the 80's. I really don't think people like her would approve of what we do. And if you really want the truth about rights being taken away, the left is far and away doing a better job. From speech codes in college, to smoking bans, and even political correctness. If you really care about your rights, instead of parroting what others tell you, you should be more concerned about these type of things, which actually affect your life, than right wing Christians.

Alright, well I guess you got me there.  Dude, there are no stereotypes here, just a platform, an election, a voting record (or two) and an army of Christian zealots with ready access to the White House.

Think what you want.  If either of us has been 'duped', the smart money is on you.  I never associated myself with either one of the hairsprayed, American flag in the lapel, suit and tie wearing jackasses that compromise the bulk of the Republican AND Democratic party.  To me, it's a classic case of the lessor of two evils.

Be that as it may, the fact remains that of the two, the Republican Party has readily aligned itself with the Christian Right.  Fuck yes...I'll take the liberal tax-and-spend Democrat over the religious-zealot Republican anyday.  I don't have a problem going outside to have a smoke.  I DO have a problem with some Republican trying to legislate MY morality.

Btw, take that crap about 'parroting' somewhere else.  You're the one that brought up taxes, which is the opiate of so many (lay) Republicans.   How's the Grand Old Party doing with the deficit?  Not so good I think.  Probably a great time to cut taxes, right?  My guess is neither one of us will see any real benefits as a result of those tax cuts anyway.   Then again, I doubt the next generation will either.

Estring -> RE: Clinton vs Bush (8/3/2006 1:01:00 AM)

I will ask you a question that nobody who holds your views seems to be able to answer: What rights specifically have you lost because of the big bad Right? I won't hold my breath for an answer.
And as for tax cuts, the economy has benefited greatly from the tax cuts. John F. Kennedy (another rightwinger) advocated tax cuts specifically because of this.

Seriously, you don't follow the news do you?  Did I fail to mention the new laws governing adult sites?  I thought I did.  That's YOUR party that went to ISP's for information on users requesting adult-oriented material.  Hey man, I LIKE my porno, how about you?  Hell, I guess so since you're on this site, which might be classified (by Republican conservatives?) as a 'gateway' site to more extreme adult-oriented sites.  Hummm.

There are good Republicans that primarily believe in smaller government and responsiblility, as well as good Democrats.

There are dumbass right-wingers that cannot keep their nose out of everyone else's business. There are left-wingers that smile upon thinking of communism (that bastion of freedom) and support speech codes in universities (and elsewhere if they can get away with it).

Specifically?

The right to live in a country where someone else's belief that an invisible man in the sky is in charge does not interfere with the future of medical research which may improve or save my life.  See Article 1 amending the Constitution.

The right to assume that if my telephone records will not be tapped or seized without a warrant.  See Article 4 amending the Constitution.

The right to assume my loved ones won't be picked up and held in Cuba for a few years without any charges or hope for a trial.  See Article 5, 6 and 8 amending the Constitution.

But please, keep holding your breath.  I hope with enough breath holding, all those red states will turn blue.

Edited for grammatical errors.

I'd have to say they're not exactly doing a bang-up job in eithier area.  Preach anti-government and reduced taxes while the governmnet inserts itself deeper and deeper into our lives, tries to legislate morality (and patriotism) and the deficit soars out of control.

Bring on the GREENS!!!!!

Seems like there's plenty of it to go around...It's 'confused'.

Besides, half-truths are my favorite kind.  I'm force-fed a steady diet every day and have come to develop a taste for it.

E-String, you hit that nail right on the head about the lefties!
It was afterall, Hillary Clinton who first coined the phrase, "Political Correctness."
I can see her daily routine; she gets up, checks under the bed for members of "The "VAST" Right-Wing Conspiracy.
Goes out to her Limo, checks the trunk and backseat for members of the "VAST" Right Wing Conspiracy. lol

FangsNfeet -> RE: Clinton vs Bush (8/3/2006 1:54:55 PM)

Let's not forget that terrorist attacked the Trade Center before 9/11 on Clintons watch but I guess that was not big deal. Clinton may have been getting a blow job at the time vs watching over children.

Puppet-Master Cheney briefed Dubya this morning telling him "Five Brazillian soldiers had been killed overnight in Iraq" Bush leapt to his feet, "Omigod!, five Brazillian is more then five  million right?"

I'll take a Rhodes Scholar over a Road-tripper anyday.
