Well, seems you all maybe working overtime soon. B.com is cutting free member's abilities to email and so forth. I just got out of a thread there, where this site was mentioned a few times. I'd like to take this opporitunity to thank you for the GREAT free service you provide for us all. It's nice to have a place to come and talk about issues, without having to worry about yet another bill, when sometimes it's just not possible for people who aren't as well off. I've learned a lot since I've been here. You are really doing an excellent job.

Thanks for the warning Sent. Hopefully people will understand us getting behind and taking a bit longer on approvals and pulling threads that need to be pulled with the holiday seasons upon us. Being volunteers, we like to have our home lives too. A reminder to our regulars, please just ignore blatant ads. I admit that when I see an intro post especially responded to by regulars that I skip over them until someone else mentions them to me. I figure by now the regulars know they are to ignore/skip the ads. Mod 4

Thanks for starting this thread SentForu... This is my Favorite site, and not just because we are free to communicate, but also the people are warm and very wise. I also have learned a lot here over the last year or so and am very grateful for this site and the hard work of the Moderators. Thanks for keeping this site running smoothly.... Just want to point out, if anyone needs help moderating/reviewing/etc... I have nothing but time on my hands as I sit back and enjoy this pregnancy!!

LOL Don't have anywhere near the number of posts they would like, but I do have lots of free time on my hands to help review pictures, profiles, and journal entries... I emailed them about a week ago... But not sure if it got lost in the system or what LOL... Oh well.. I'm here if you guys need me!

Thinks the staff does a great job and hope they do have time for themselves as well. I would help but i dont have enough knowledge lol. Anyways...Great Job Y'all!!

I love this site not only for the freeness and people but the way it is set up! Most unique and informative- at a glance one can tell what sexual orientation a person is as well as where they live, age- it's unique.

I'd also like to add my thanks to the staff for all their hard work, and for the great job. [;)] As to the notices for Collarme help however, these fell through the cracks. I sent a number of emails to [email protected] volunteering to help with Profile Review, although expressing my reservations that I might not be experienced enough. No replies. I also sent a message to support on this. [:(] This part needs work. Still nobody (except Jules) is perfect. [sm=lol.gif]

I really enjoyed having a place where I could kick back and yap about whatever. When bondage yanked the plug on that, I was pretty bummed. The thing that irritated me the most was the feeling of being brow beaten into becoming a paying subscriber - AND- losing that outlet. It's really nice to have found Collar Me, and have access to a communtiy forum again. Kudos to Collar Me and the volunteers who give their time to make it work.

For a long time now, B.com has been limiting non-paying members' access by removing one item at a time. Each time it happened, there was some baloney explanation, a torrent of complaints in the forums, and then a lot of patronizing you-should-be-grateful-for-what-you-get-for-free responses. Well, Collarme really IS free. I'm grateful. Lam

Can I just add: The appearance is so much more welcoming here too, it seems more about real connections and less about strut and shock appeal (not that there's anything wrong with that... but not always!). It's wonderfully user friendly too, though I'm still longing to figure out how to get carriage returns to stay in my profile.... I found both sites on the same night but I seldom go back to b.com, whereas I look forward to coming back here. Thanks from a newbie too. Kyakitten

Agree with Kyakitten on more real human emotions/conversations/connections here than other sites I've seen. I'm very grateful to the Mods/Collarme staff for the support and teaching they've done to/for me. Seasons Greetings Everyone, Love and Peace to all. Ms M

as a member here and on b.bullshit.com as well as a few other sites.....I have to say that quiet a few of the members from b. are already here....and why? because they are in it for the money....The staff over there has done nothing but take away our right to breath.....If you are a free member you can not mail ...if you are a free new member you can not post.....Now I also read that there are certian words that you can not say there...ok fine this was told to staff by Visa and Mastercard...so when I being the rebel I am wrote to these companies about what was posted...they asked me to send them the statement...I did...and was told by Visa business services that...this was never sent to b.lyingcom....after a few e-mails and making ure they understood my point...I mailed the owners of b.bs com and showed them what I got from Visa...low and behold they never said another word about it.......yes I am still a member there....why? because I love to push their limits....its the Domme in me.....but all in all as I did back ground checks on there....the site is not making the money they need to stay in the game.....paid members are cancelling accounts and free members are leaving....so what do they end up with ?...another site like alt.......ok my venting is done.....just thought I would share what I know Have a wonderful Merry christmas

I am going to echo the post I made on the subject on b.com. They are shooting themselves in the foot. As a friend of mine is happy to point out, "you want the wolves, better attract some sheep, you want sheep, build nicer grass". By removing the mail and forum features from their free services they are shooing away new users who will find the site limiting. So, as the number of free users dwindle so will the number of paying members. Its a vicious circle. And that crap about not being able to program a tiered payment system, is just that, crap. cheers VG

I joined here because of I was sick of the bullshit and lame crap over at B.com aswell as what had happened to alt.com a few years ago, and I hope this place grows bigger bt leaps and bounds. :) So far all the people I have chatted with, or had contact with in emails have been at least cordial and good enough to reply, OR have sent me emails welcoming me :) Quite nice to not be just "lost amongst a kinky sea of Black shinny clothed peoples" for once:) Thanks, and FREE COMMUNITY is what this is all about, not pushing smut and porn with a "personals and forum site as a leader loss"

Generally looking into what is going on over at b.com and comparing that with here, I think the problems b.com are having is more software related. B.com is using the free Snitz while collarme.com is the paid for ASPPlayground. I suspect b.com have had to limit the internal message system as it has become overloaded using the bloated Snitz.
