It would depend on what is included in the definitions of "appetite", "sexual desire" and "intelligence" as to if I think it's true (but then, I'm a scientist and woud think of such an anal retentative thing. LOL!)

My Chinese piano teacher as a teenager once showed me that the symbol for dog and the symbol for woman vary only by the placement of a dot. She was told it was because a woman lives a dog's life.

I'm sure there's quotes out there about the abilities of a man as compared to a women. I make no conjectures about which angle is true.
