Just wondering - do any lesbian Dommes ever consider bisexual girls? How do you feel about the whole bisexual thing? Is it all or nothing? I hope I don't offend anyone with this question and if I do I'm sorry - I'm genuinely curious.

I'm curious too!

I can only speak for myself, but yes....I am a lesbian, and I would consider straight, bisexual or a lesbian/gay sub/slave female or males.  Since I do not have sexual involvement with males, their sexuality really isn't important to me.  To me, it's really all about my intent to help let go of repression within your mind, body and soul.  You are a person first, and foremost.

Again, this is just one opinion among, I'm sure, many.

Be in peace,
Dame D.

There exists, somewhere in the community, people of every sexual orientation Mastering others of every sexual orientation. I can site one of each example in my head...that's 16 combinations of relationships given the four sexual orientations. There's also room for the different gender orientations, too, which adds another 32 combinations, if I've calculated correctly. It all exists. So, the answer to these kinds of questions is always, "Yes."

Gah, way too much thought has gone into that.

I probably would consider having a bisexual chich as a sub, but I wouldn't get into a serious relationship with a bi girl. There are several reasons for that:
- It seems *every* girl is "bisexual" these days.. If someone told me they were bi, I am sceptical to if they mean just for sex or for actual relationships..
- Some people treat the term "bi" as "now-i-uped-my-chances-of-getting-laid-by-50-percent"
- STD's are much much easier transmitted between male to female or male to male contact. Just a precaution.
- Most bisexual girls are also more on the femme side of things... and i'm not really into that. I like androgynous, tomboyish girls. Thats just how i was born...same way I can't help being gay---

Women of my acquaintance who have sex and relationships with women (this means bisexual/omnisexual and lesbian) have become increasingly wary of women who identify as bisexual. This is largely because of encounters with women who identify as bisexual, where bisexual means that they'll have sex with women simply in order to perform for a man. Even if we put aside the messages that sends about gender roles and sexuality, representing this behavior as bisexual drives me batshit because it doesn't mean "I'm attracted to women," as much as it means "I'm straight, exhibitionistic, and not homophobic." I'm okay with the great mass of women who genuinely like to have sex with or play with women and have romantic relationships with men, as long as they're clear about what they want--though I'm increasingly less keen on being a woman's first woman. People who don't want play/sex relationships will turn that sort of bisexual woman down, but that's more an issue of relationships than of sexuality. Unfortunately, the performative and ultra-casual "girl on girl" sexual behavior among women who identify as bisexual has given genuinely bisexual women a bad name, and seems to have prompted bisexual women to need to prove the veracity of their homosexual tendencies.

Even though I put Lesbian on profiles I am more towards being Bi.
slave bishop is all Lesbian.
I consider everyone no matter what sexual preference.
I look for how far away people(female or male) are as to whether I will session with them.Next is personality and compatability.

Thank you for all your replies - several different opinions as I expected!

Without implicating myself in the original question, I hoped for objective answers. I am also quite aware of the whole 'yeah... I'm bisexual too...' thing, having many gay and lesbian friends and being quite involved in the gay scene in Manchester, and watching the 'pink pretenders' come and go. Plus the epidemic of drunken women kissing their friends to turn men on is horrendous. But if I want to spend a lot of time with a certain woman, sincerely care for her and also find her sexually attractive, but have generally had boyfriends, does that make me bisexual? Am I pretending even if there is no one there but her and I? Do I have to pass a test? Who knows!

Perhaps for once the kink world is more straightforward - many people are not so bothered about sexual orientation, whereas vanilla relationships seem to demand much stricter rules when it comes to bisexuality..

I'm generally confused - not about how I feel or my sexuality, but about the reactions of others. Any thoughts? :(

I know this isn't your question but I just have to say something about this. It is a long road to find out who we are. Fortunatly you are still at an age where you can take the time to find that out for yourself. Unfortunatly no one can answer this for you. And I'm not stating that you were asking us who you really are, just letting you know that you still have the time to find the answer.

Now to answer your original question. Bi sexual women are something I do tend to question more so than someone who is a lesbian. My main concern about them is do they want a relationship or just casual sex. It's hard to sift through them and find the good and the bad. I have to do this before getting into a relationship with them so there are no doubts or concerns later, which can damage the relationship. No Domme/Dom likes to look or feel like a fool. So by taking these measures it can help in removing any future concerns or regret. This may seem racist however I have seen too many people get hurt from bi sexuals. If you see someone climb a rope, fall and get hurt do you climb a rope with more confidence than they? So I don't think that I am a bigot just cautious from experience.

BigEyes, you might read Marjorie Garber's book Vice Versa, if you're interested in exploring the notion of bisexuality. Garber is a very smart woman.

A much shorter reading recommendation: http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=12406 The preceding URL should lead you to a column by the blogger and professional dominant Matisse about sexual orientation. In it, she addresses the notion of sexuality among kinky people, and concludes that her own sexual orientation is "BDSM." "I don't care much about the configuration of your genitals," she writes, "I just care about how many clothespins I can attach to them."

I am a Lesbian Dominant and I loved your question.  It is often a point of great confusion in the lifestyle. Sexual orientation, in my opinion, does not matter in a D/s relationship because it is power exchange not sex exchange.  I select a submissive based on many factors none of which are their sexual preference.  Their sexual preference is, however, a meaningful part of getting to know them as a person.

i hope this post does not get taken out of context (or taken wrong in any context) but i wish i could locate a Lesbian Mistress to submit to, mainly because i do not view the lifestyle as a sexual outlet and it would be a relatively safe environment (my own personal opinion here) to be in. at least there would be no expectations of it becoming a sexual situation. i hope everyone understands just what i am trying to convey here as words seem to escape me tonight and i'm not sure if i'm saying things correctly.

again, please do not take this as a negative or insulting post...it is not meant to be as such.

I understand completely and I don't take this out of context either. I also think it was very brave of you to put your opinion like that in there too. I have seen those man eater hater Domme's with knives in both hands ready to tear into a poor sub such as yourself. Lil' monsters! lol! I would like to add that I have seen a Mistress TEAR up her male slave and wonder if he was ok. But don't assume they are safe just because they have the word Domme in front of their name. And make sure that they aren't men haters too. It just chills me to think if you ever got caught up in a situation like that. And that's bad because I am as sadistic as they come. My strong advice. Be careful in what you choose!!!

i plan to, i know not all lesbians are like that, i used to have a lesbian friend in the Atlanta area (wish i still had her number) and we were like buddies, neither of us expecting anything other than friendship, which seems to be lacking in this world alot. maybe i will get lucky and find a caring lesbian Mistress to take me under Her wing and train me the way i should be. who knows?

If you don't view it as a sexual outlet, why not submit to a man? That would really improve your chances.

I happen to be one of those Dommes.I have a good reason to be somewhat of a man hater...I think rape would qualify Me as being able to hate SOME men.
Do I take it out on My sumbissives only if they ,that person deserves it.

My goal is to train them to treat Women better and if it means grabbing their nuts and threanting to slice them off then by jiminy cricket I'll do it dammit.

I am Bi but prefer Women thats why slave bishop has lasted 7 years, she's the
tomboy look with the brain of a Woman...sort of...she can be such a man sometimes...LOL

I think I might actually feel a little sorry for all these straight boys that prefer lesbian dommes because of all the women harassing them and beating down their door to demand sex with them.
