No one can ever place my accent... I am Brooklyn NY born and raised and I have none of the inflections, until I say coffee. I get a lot of interesting guesses, but Brooklyn is never one of them. Living in Vegas now, I dont stand out much... but thinking about moving t Nashville... sore thumb?

On the phone, I sound exactly like my mother, two of my sisters, and my daughter.  I was listening to my answering machine one day and thought I was hearing a message from my daughter... took me fully a minute to realize it was ME on the machine, leaving myself a reminder!  Sheesh!
 
No accent (that I can tell, anyway).  Just a middle-to-low-range voice.  If it helps, I sing second alto.

OK... Imagine Barry White. Now that you have that voice in your head, you might as well enjoy it because I don't sound anything like him.

I am more of a mid-ranged voice, not too deep but definitely not a squeeky little mouse either. I project well and I have been told that I have a good speaking voice.

I've been told I have a nice high baritone/low tenor voice.  I wanna sound like Levi Stubbs, the legendary bass of the Four Tops *SIGH*.

We have spoke with several members of CM on the phone. I's funny, sometimes I have mentally guessed their voice accurately, or totally missed it by a mile, never in between it seems. I have no clue what my voice sounds like on the other end, all I know is that on occasion the female on the other end of the phone has to get a towel...I hope that's a good thing (weg).

There are two people that I would just absolutely LOVE to see their photo and hear them speak, benji and shivy. both are just too adorable for words in their own way. And yes, I do have voices that I put with different posters, weird huh. Most I am sure I will never get the opportunity to hear but it would be very cool to see how close I was. Reminds me of something that happened yesterday at work. A customer that I have spoke to on the phone for years actually stopped in the shop to drop something off. Totally blew me away how different he looked that what I had always envisioned in many ways. I have talked to several from collarme that don't have the same addiction to the forums and several had totally different voices than I had imagined from their photos.
As far as my voice and how to describe it. I am trying to think about how it sounds on my voice mails. Medium to low range. I speak from the diaphram so it tends to carry well wether I am talking loudly or not. They say that midwesterners have the least accent of any part of the US. However, I know that I picked up a bit of a southern drawl from my great aunt that had a upperclass NewOrleans accent from spending many many years caring for wealthy elderly there. That comes and goes at odd times for me. I know that when I get angry my voice drops even lower and quieter.....probably from having lived with too many drama addicts that like to yell scream and throw things which I always found childish and annoying. I think that most people that know me well comment on my laughter rather than my voice. Now THAT can be loud! I think the sound of it must be annoying as hell but everyone at work has commented at one time or another that they miss it when I am gone. Other than that, I guess if someone is just every dyyyyyyyyyyying to hear me they can email me and ask to hear me via phone or voice chat. I am definately not a shy one.

been told I have a strong Texas accent, which totally throws people off, not at all what they expect (hmmm I wonder why?  lol)  and it really is thick when someone ignores the warnings and decides to poke me with a stick....lol

I have seen a picture of shivvy....she is even more lovely than her writing style.
We have chatted and she is a darling of darlings.  I love shivvy.
Yes I would love to hear her accent. I imagine a light flowery quiet voice.

I have decided that the best accent in the world is a light southern one, especially when you get to hear "Yes Maam" on a regular basis. Not tat im biased or anything (since my pet is from TN *chuckle*)

I'm going to need confirmation from others here on the site that I've talked to on the phone, but I've been told that I sound like Jonathan Davis from Korn.  As far as what I wish I sounded like, I've always wanted Darth Vader's voice, but I'm fucked up like that.  Not James Earl Jones, I mean James Earl Jones with electronic distortion.
