Although I agree with Wolfie here, do some reading... I don't agree with his list. Before you think about playing with rope, I suggest a little light reading on Pressure points. If you get a knot in the wrong place on the body, you can cause major damage to nerves, spinal, bloodflow, or any number of other medical dilemmas. Forget the light reading... go in depth. Maybe read a book on Accu-pressure/ Accu-puncture as well. It never hurts to know the physical anatomy, where the nerve clusters are, etc... Once you've got a good feel for where the pressure points/ nerve clusters/ etc; are... then I would actually suggest picking up a book on Knots, specifically sailing and or camping knots... Sheepshank, cloverleaf, double hitch... these are all different types of knots, and will assist you in your learning curve of how to properly tie up someone, and how, if necessary, to get them out of the ropes as quickly as possible, without causing bodily harm. As for the art of Shibari, there are quite a few books out there, on the subject. Go to amazon, or one of the book sites, and do a search on the term. Does not matter whether dominant or submissive, one must learn to crawl before one walks, or one tends to fall on their face a lot. CC
