ok,here we go ,
i met a Domme who is into dilation and i was wondering if eventually with regular use it won't losen the opening and make bladder control weaker.
can S/someone help please?

How far up was she dilating? Bladder control isn't in the penis itself.

OK -- first, you need to gain a little understanding of what she's proposing physiologically.

Urethral dilation has nothing to do with your bladder, per se. However, it does over time, create a more free opening of the sphincter tone in your urethra that aids in urine control.

Number one concern is her expertise in performing this skill. This is not something for novices to experiment with, and if she's not someone with extensive experience already (either she's a healthcare professional who does insertions or someone who's done alot of dilation in a SM dungeon), it's wise for her to take on some tutelage by another top more experienced in the skill (I learned sounding from a gay leatherman a number of years ago, having already known catheterization as a result of my healthcare education/profession.)

More concerning is the possibility of introducing infectious agents into your urinary tract and subsequently into your kidneys. Dilation and catheterization should be performed as aspetically as possible, with sterile implements (sterile gloves, sterile lube, surgical site prep, sterile sounds inserted directly from the autoclave wrapper, or single-use caths inserted directly from the sterile wrapper.)

There's also a remote chance of irritation of the urethral lining that can cause scarring and strictures. Improper or forcible insertion, trying to insert a too large a Fr gauge cath or sound, not enough lube or an unsterile lube can be the culprits of this problem.

Could you say more about how the sphincter tone in the *urethra* would cause a lessening of control? I would have thought the control would have been in the bladder sphincter itself. I want to get the details right for myself.

MisPandora Ma'am,

thank you for your detailed reply,
as far as i know,she is a nurse by profession,and i am not saying we will do dilaton the first time we meet:)
this relationship will slowly build to trust first before i can go further in my wonderful journey with her.She is a Domme i like a lot already and i can easily see myself accept all Her requests and live the life she wants me to live.
i am asking about dilation because it is one of the plays she likes and since i never tried it before,i was trying to get good feedback about it:)
i just don't want to end up wearing diapers that's all:)

Please note that I said URINE CONTROL. The sphincters in the urethra, when stimulated, alert the nerve receptors in the pelvic area. That can automatically stir the urgency to urinate (similar to how swallowing starts the motility in your GI tract, ultimately causing peristalsis throughout your entire GI tract right down to your bowels.) Dilating the urethral sphincters too much or with great frequency can make a person lose the ability to stop/control urination/ejaculation which IS controlled by the urethra and not the bladder.

Just because she's a nurse does NOT mean she's skilled at urethral dilation. She may have been a nurse for years and hasn't cathed since nursing school on a mannekin! Please do some more homework with her and find out what her level of experience is, and go forward with your eyes wide open.

Yes, I DID note that you said URINE CONTROL. THANK YOU.

What was confusing me is that there is are the internal and external sphincters of the bladder itself (present in both men and women), but that there were also (I found when I did additional reading) tertiary sphincters along the length of the penis. Thanks for the infor on nerve impulses.
