** too clarify, by "lazy" I don't mean all-consuming laziness and sitting around doing nothing all day; I am a workaholic and put a ton of energy into my career, but I do virtually nothing domestically and haven't for years now.
Speaking from a personal standpoint, I can't fathom ever being anything but tremendously independent. I frustrate the hell out of a service submissive, and that's part of the fun. I open my own doors as it pleases me. I sometimes find it just as quick to go and grab myself a bottle of water from the fridge. And yes, I'm able to bathe and groom myself!!!! I handled the tasks of traveling internationally, close to 50,000 miles and 70some events as a leather titleholder and educator all on my own (plus all of my personal affairs and working full time.) I can't say that I'd worry too much about becoming too dependent upon anyone else. Perhaps it's the taurean in me. When we finally allow it, we do enjoy the excesses and luxuries in life!
