as a novice i am reading as much as i can and absorbing the advice i receive from Doms that have been kind enough to impart their wisdom. one of these kind D's suggested i read "screw the roses, send me the thorns". i treked to the local barnes and noble and looked through their relationship section, to no avail. so i decided to ask someone. i approached one of the ladies at the counter, an older prim and proper lady, and asked her. i couldn't remember exactly the tiltle and said it was "forget the roses...". she couldn't find that so put in keywords. she started naming some and i would tell her no. now, mind you, i dress rather conservatively myself. she was scanning the names and started to say another title, then she got this shocked look on her and stopped reading. i saw this and told her, " ah, you found it". i thought it was just the funniest thing. it wasn't in stock so i had to order it. when it did arrive a man from the bookstore called me to let me know, you should have heard his voice when he confimed the title, i was surprised he wasn't the one that gave it to me when i picked it up, lol!!!

Want a great humiliation thing to do with a male sub? Send him to the bookstore (NO ordering off the net) and have him order a copy of "The Family Jewels - A Guide to Male Genital Play and Torture". If you're feeling nice, allow him to go to some other city rather that the one he lives in. LOL

Fire

Amazon is great for convenience, but I prefer using my local alternative bookstores and use them whenever I have the opportunity. They deserve my business more than a ginormous corporation. For a long time, they were the only place you could find many of the more 'esoteric' titles, and they need to be supported.

Besides, with all the paranoia being discussed in other threads about "The Man" finding you because your name is on on some list, do you really want Amazon to know about all your little preversions? [;)]
