remember when chewing gum and running in the halls in school were the big problems.

remember when you could be sent to the principal's office and get "swats" with the black paddle with the holes as punishment?  (and we DIDN'T like it?)

remember when your parents found out about it and they asked you what the hell you did to deserve it and  told you that you had it coming?

(We didn't have to contend with drugs or guns in the schools.  I think smoking in the bathrooms was the biggest drug in my school.) :)

The teachers could just take us out in the hall, it was 3 swats, the paddles were brown with holes it them. When I knew the next day meant I was going to get it, I would wear shorts under my bluejeans, a washcloth in each back pocket of the shorts.

I wish I got the paddle...

(metal edged rulers were her favorites... is that considered edge play, in todays society?  or would it be blood play, since she did draw blood from time to time...)

Remember when....30 seemed so old?  Ohh wait, that's a song.

Remember when...you and the entire family would travel to DisneyWorld (or wherever) in the station wagon for 30 hours?  No electronic games, no dvd players, no mp3 player, no cell phones, no stops at McDonalds, just an icechest full of bologna sandwiches, license plate games, and of course..."do i have to stop this car?"

addis, me and my bros version of it was "counting coup"  or a gentler version was "hes touching me!"

When it was not un heard of kids getting licks in school when they messed up

Boys got in fights in school and took those licks.

now the odd thing is.

Boys dont fight in school

Kids dont get licks in school

but kids kill kids in school with guns.

Yup.. in 1st grade.. I had to go potty.  I asked permission and left the room to do so.  The bathroom was located in the basement of the school.  When I was done, I returned to the classroom only to find it empty.  In a few seconds, the class filed back in.  My teacher was furious!  There had been a fire drill (that I obviously didn't hear)- and she yelled "You did NOT have to go to the bathroom!" and that was followed by a slap across the face.  For the rest of the day, I remember just staring her down with one of those "if looks could kill" looks. Circa 1960

Humiliation was a tactic also.  Speak out of turn you not only got put in the corner, you got to put your nose in a circle on the blackboard until they told you to sit down. If you chewed gum, you  got to wear the wad on your nose untill told to take it off.  If this isn't training to be a Domme- nothing is :)

In 3rd grade, I was being pestered by a boy who kept talking to me.  *I* was the one called to the front of the room.. and told to "stand there stand don't move!".  Ok.. I did just that. I fixed my eyes on the calendar and didn't move.. hardly breathed and didn't even blink.  It wasn't long before the tittering in the class began until the teacher realized what was going on and said "OH SUSAN!  Go sit down!"  My first triumph against authority, defeated them by doing exactly as told!  LOL!

My parent's mantra was "If you get in trouble in school, expect to 'get it again' when you get home!"

Ravn, "hit you?"
When I went to school in the 50's and 60's they'd come up behind you and punch you in the back of the head!
In first grade if you fucked up the teacher would put a baby bonnet on you and make you sit in the corner and suck your thumb while all the other kids laughed at you.
