Im curious to know of how many have read any of the De Sade writings, Im reading a biography about Him, and find that no matter how bad things got for him, he never lost his mind. Very interesting reading........

The Marquis De Sade lived in a time when the field of psychology (as we know it today) did not exist. So who can really say if he was insane or not? The American Psychiatry Association holds that Sadism (enjoyment or preoccupation with inflicting pain on others) as a mental disorder.
