I like a little self-assured swagger in a man... that attitude that says he knows he's going to get what he wants and he knows exactly how and when he's going to get it. Add to that some polite conversation about life and interests, and you've got a nice beginning to a relationship.

Come at me with the neanderthal "Me Dom, you slave" attitude and I'll laugh in your face.

if it has to be one or the other, this slave wouldn't choose "neither", but "either"...when this slave was unowned and approached she preferred that any self-proclaimed Dominant approach this slave with an attitude as close to their genuine self as possible, regardless of the style.

it very much caught this slave's attention when Master approached this slave with BOTH---He knew very well what was and was not going to fly with Him, and made no bones about it from our initial correspondence, but He also was genuinely interested to know what this slave's expectations and desires were as well.

Our first contact on the internet turned into phone conversations within a few days and a real-time meeting within 2 weeks. we are sharing in our 4th year together!

I think my response would depend on your definition of 'self-assured swagger'. Personally, if I see someone who's full of himself, I like to laugh and then knock him down a few pegs if I can.

Now, IF you happen to come across a Dom who actually IS competent and confident and NOT over-dosed on admiration for himself... That's impressive. That would get and keep my attention.

When i irst met Masdter he was very confident that i would be his (he was right) he had already tokld me that on the phone. We talked about things in general on the phone and in person before we got to the BDSM stuff but i knew from the moment i met him i would be his

I need to know the person first, not just go straight in.
But, if given the choice, the what do you want from this aproach so I can let them know straight off if there is something I am not willing to do.

If i were still looking i would say, i would like Someone Who will get to know me as a person first and then move on to us exchanging ideas on what we want from a relationship. Then, if what He wants is not what i want, we can either work it out or i will move on. i realize He is the Dominant and has the last word, but if we are not in a relationship yet and still both "under consideration" by the other (yes, both), there is nothing wrong w/ us discussing things at that point to find out if it could work out or not. Until we are IN a relationship, we are just two people trying to find out if we are compatible or not.
