DameDarkness -> MUSIC (12/22/2004 4:36:27 PM)

I know what your thinking.....WHAT how is MUSIC equipment??? Don't get me wrong its not actual equipment. You can't hit people with it and yet YOU CAN! Emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Music is a huge part of this lifestyle. I have noticed this. Anywhere you go anyone you talk to they will tell you of their music they use during their play sessions. Most of all of us in this lifestyle know of Enigma, Enya, etc. Thats because those bands have the kind of music that says it all. The sensualness in these groups music is what we try to instill in our partner. But of course on the other hand of things some do not like this type of music. Really though we play the music of all genres to instill what we are trying to say to our partner about who we are and what we are wanting. You move a person with music. You give a memory with music. You make a moment with music.

Now if you haven't heard of Enigma or Enya or bands of that Genre I suggest them fully. They are really awesome bands. And I suggest for first time listeners to them to close your eyes and listen to them with your mind. See the sensuality in them. But that is only a suggestion. So you don't actually have to do it.

But going deeper into this discussion of Music. No matter what kind it is you can touch your partner in a way that can not be done physically. Sure you can emotionally touch your partner with physical means but to really touch them DEEPLY music seems to do it best. I mean for example. Let's say you are in the process of having a play session with your partner or others....The music that is played is what sets the mood, the speed, and the tension. Almost like in a movie. Only its Real Life.

And while its setting all the mood, speed, and tension its also creating a moment and memory for your partner. Everytime your partner hears that song(s) there after that moment will pop into their head and they will remember that special moment that had taken place to that song(s). They will remember every detailed moment. From the time it started to the time it ended. Every movement, slap, spank, pause, breath, heat, eye look, moan, groan, touch, tickle, spoken word, etc. And while they are remembering it they will relive it through that song(s). They will feel it inside themselves and want a posibility of another play session because of that.

But On the other hand of all this, music can set a bad situation, too. Example a bad play session with music can have a complete opposite affect of everything I had discussed about a good play session with music earlier in this message. I won't go into details because Im pretty sure you know what I mean by that. So really with music or without a play session can go either way. But know this if you do play music make sure its for the right reasons and what you wish to instill upon your partner and the session and memory. Remember with music you will essentially create a memory whether you wanted to or not.

Final note: Be safe, Be well, and play safely. Especially when it involves making memories.

There have been several in-depth threads here on music and how people use it in conjunction with their "scene" activities. If you click on search at the top of the page and look for the word 'music' in subject lines, you'll find some fairly interesting discussions.
