Please - if you don't agree then kindly just move on without comment. If you do, however, please join me in a worldwide meditation for peace. As is quite obvious our world is suffering. Our people are suffering and my heart is deeply saddened. i am going to meditate each night at 7pm for only 1 minute - focusing on a circle of white light around our globe - this light representing peace and love for all.

Please join me by adjusting your meditaiton to this timeline if possible. 7pm pacific time. The power of joined energy is very effective. If you're not able to do it at this time, then please just do it when you can.

Thank you all.

This is a beautiful gesture, let's hope others take it up as well.

~ serene smile ~

Positive healing energy is more powerful than perhaps even we (practitioners of meditation) realize.

I can think of much worse endeavors to partake in . Keep up the good work . The mind is an amazing thing .
If you look around there are numerous groups who are doing the same thing either with prayer or meditation . Contact a few and see if any match up with your mind set .

I know of a couple Budhist groups who promote nightly meditation for peace and understanding .

No offense but maybe a minute is a little to short ... it takes me about ten times that long just to relax and shake off reality .

None taken. Thank you for your response. Of course anyone is free to take as long as they wish/need. i just said a minute so people don't feel overwhelmed. And i do believe even a quick thought is powerful.

Post about 30 more times and it will go away

mnottertail -> RE: Worldwide Meditation for peace (8/10/2006 4:37:33 PM)

There is a worldwide meditation to change it, but if you go to general forum and see forum rankings (right at the top) you will see that your prayers to allah are futile, faith without works is dead, don't you know?

And we are better how? Aren't we all killing? That's just the point. Peace does not mean one group is more right than another. It means peace - period. We can't point the finger at them - Ask the Iranians and Iraqies who have lost family and friends because of our so-called "noble causes".

It's a simple thing - meditate for one minute on peace around the world, preferably at a time when you know others are too, but anytime is always good.
