So for hypnosis to work,a person has to actually hear voice,it can.t work from reading text alone?

slavejlb -> RE: Hypnosis (8/11/2006 2:24:02 AM)

unless you are looking at as like in road hynosis, where people become intrace by  staring at the rode for long distance, then yes one can be some under while reading. but to experince the true sense of hypnosis it take a person or even a tape of a person voice,
take care and be safe

Mind,I suppose it would be dangerous to be hynotised,or entranced via an internet connection,as there may be no-one else there to help when and if things go wrong.For someone to do that,that is hypnotise or attempt to do so over distance would be unfair,uncaring and without a doubt,very wrong,because there is zero 'aftercare'.

Hypnosis can be done through just text if the subject is willing and the hypnotist is skilled enough. Phone or vidoe work much better. In person, of course, works best. I would be less worried about something going wrong as long as the hypnotist is careful. For example, begin each session with the suggestion that if something goes wrong, the subject comes out of hypnosis immediately and no active suggestions remain in place. That generally gets rid of the risk. Of course, common sense in what suggestions are given is probably both the hypnotist's and subject's best protection. I would never push strong emotions on a person via text nor delve into any deeply personal issues. One simply cannot respond fast enough if something unexpected happens.

hmmm - yes it can be done online - though i think it does require a visual aid to help get one in to a trance - weither its pinwheels, multible pictures flying by, or even bubbles - there are many things you can find to assist in setting the mind at ease.

entranser -> RE: Hypnosis (2/4/2007 11:30:48 AM)

I have done it with just text and no visual aid. I use the words and the text as the visual aid. However, I agree it is much easier with visual aids, etc.

I would be extremely interested in experiencing hypnosis even something simple. My brain has not been able yet to accept that hypnosis really works.
I've listened to a couple mp3's but nothing happened.

entranser -> RE: Hypnosis (2/4/2007 1:30:19 PM)

I wouldn't worry about mp3s. They have a notoriously poor success rate. This is especially true if you have doubts about being hypnotized. The best way to experience hypnosis is to find a person in your area who actually knows what he or she is doing and have them work with you. If that is not possible or you are uncomfortable with that, I would recommend a phone session or an audio session on line. As I noted, on line texting, while possible, is the most difficult (outside of mp3s and the like), but still can work. Good luck with whatever you do. And keep an open mind.

hypnobdsm -> RE: Hypnosis (2/5/2007 10:24:24 PM)

1. Different people react differently to hypnosis. Not everyone can enter a a deepened state. 2. Various type of trance vehicles are possible. Some people are visual while others are audio. The trick is to find the key to the subconscious. I would suggest that anyone who wants to experience hypnosis to look around in your various areas for a certified hypnotist. Try it the first time just to relax. Be careful with the people online. You might be surprised at how you react and what someone can actually do.

I think you're all hypnotised & have no clue what your keyboarding  LMAO

there's a difference between being dilusional and being hypnotized...LOL

Yes you are correct! Hypnosis can work as long as the person can hear your voice, Hypnosis is but a deep trance, it is nothing like you see on the comedy shows.

this works, provided the hypnotists voice can be heard over the voices in someone's head...LOL
