Did anyone else hear the story on CNN today about a few states banning the sale of sex toys? OMG what would we do without them? as I run out to buy futures in cucumbers Seriously isn't that absolutely ridiculous? They arrrested a lady for having a passion toy party in her home, in Mississippi I think. The court case should be very interesting, wonder if the judge or his wife uses toys. Hope they televise that one.

I think that the well publicized case of the Passion Party rep being arrested was right here in my backyard, in Burleson, Texas. There is a background to that story. The woman who was arrested was a Chamber of Commerce representative who wore her skirts too short to please the good people of Burleson. After all, this is Kelly Clarkson's hometown we're talkin' about. For shame. There was an ax to grind, my friends, else she would not have been arrested. The local authorities dug an obscure state law out of their asses and put our little friend in jail. Fortunately, she has an excellent attorney - female - who is hell bent on taking this right to trial.

I hope I am selected for the jury. Read more about it at:
http://www.dallasobserver.com/issues/2004-04-15/buzz.html/1/index.html

Enjoy!

Assuming I lived in one of the banned states. What would stop me from purchasing toys on ebay? It is much more relaxed..and do the people selling really care whom to they ship things to?

Ebay does not break the law and if an adult toy is purchased by sumone in a state that its illigal its reported just like the pawn shops that must report any sale of guns to people to the authorities for the police to investigate the person to see what laws have been broken if any. This all goes on behind the closed doors of the w w w without the unsavvy of the w w w knowing it till the officials choose to knock on THEIR doors. And dont fool your self the Goverment has been doing sum investigations of many people for over 10years now and they are truly getting ready to throw the cases wide open. LOL

Dread,
I understand what you are saying but BDSM is illegal. What the prudes consider non-consentual yet consensual sex is illegal.
Geez, certain areas of Texas you go and try to order an egg sunny side up for breakfast and its illegal.
There are stupid rules all over. We do what we have to do to go around them until the laws change. I sell toys on ebay myself. I know of their rules. Then of course pay pal won't agree to allow anyone to pay for any type of sex toy.
Fact is. Other sites like fetish auctioneer well I bet you someone would sell you something from there to an illegal sex toy state. We will do what we have to do in the end.

Over my years I've known a few in the FBI, these people do not use credit cards, atms or anything. Let alone would they be caught on a site like this one. Yep, the feds can monitor every breath we take if they so wish to. I'm sure some of them are already watching us here. So what I say. What are they going to find out about me they don't already know?
I'm not breaking the law by voicing my opinion YET. We still have certain rights in this country.

It was people like us who fled from slavery so many years ago in Europe. In time the nation will change. Perhaps not in our lifetime but it will change.
We are the non-conformists.

The worst part of all this is that a lot of people who are alarmed by all of this assault on our individual rights wring their hands in angst; then...vote REPUBLICAN. Now you figure that one out.

Ok i live in OK otherwise known as the buckle of the bible belt. We have adult book stores and even a few Priscilla's . Mostly they sell dildo's and vibrators they also have some bondage things and even some floggers, lame as they are.
lol Master and i went into Priscilla's once and Master asked the poor sales clerk where the real floggers were. She took us to the little rubber band floggers. Master picked one up and told her these aren't real floggers as He started hitting His arm with it. The look on her face was pricless as she jumped back like He was going to hit her next or something.
Now everytime we pass by a Priscilla's one of us have to laugh and ask where the real floggers are.
Heh sorry just one of our silly stories

Hey, liljoy, i am in OK, too! Gotta love near-beer, eh? i had an unknowing friend who was new to the area and went and bought some "porno". Imagine his surprise to see the film had been edited so all the penetration was gone!

my Master and i make pilgrimmages to TX to buy real porn, but for some reason cyberskin is illegal *there*, the way the law is written anything sex toys are illegal, but anything made of regular plastic is a "novelty".

So many people in this part of the country are so DUMB! Do they not understand that without sex none of us would be here?

i just thought of another question.... when Master and i buy porn in TX, nothing with beating in it has any actual sex. Even in movies where it is a Master-slave relationship, there is just physical torture. my kinky b-i-l said that is because if it had both sex *and* physical discipline in it, it would count as abuse and be illegal? Is that true? Or is it just another weird law in the Bible Belt?

Hmmmm - banning sex toys - this is another frightening right wing agenda item.

eBay reports out-of-state cigarette sales too, you know. They won't take ads for certain weapons, like (kung fu) suriken stars, but you can buy a switchblade online from them - they have the most fucked up list of what's allowable and what is not.

After banning sex toys, what's next, the PATRIOT ACT? Snooping into every e-mail, forum post, and online picture of known "pervs", so they can be rounded up, arrested, put in concentration camps, and removed as a blight on society?

Think about it.

Fight for your rights, and get those holier-than-thou Republicans OUT of the legislative process.

This is really unsettling.

It's an interesting discussion - what is legal or not. The truth of the matter, if I can sound somewhat parnoid here, is that if the Police want to pound on your door at 3 AM and arrest you. They can.

Most of us don't realize how thin and frail our rights are. Join something like the NCSF or ACLU, do some reading, contact a good lawyer and ask questions.

The law generally is not abused in most cases, but the potential is always there.

Dear Americans...

America only rule (sorry) leads the "free world" because of its guns... There is so little freedom here and your TV news and newspapers are... PATHETIC! The USA is the only democracy to prevent its citizens traveling to another country...

So to here about the proposed ban of sex toys in the USA shouldn't be much of a surprise....

Compare the Ukrainian citizens in 2004 to those in Florida in 2000.... Which set of citizens have freedom and democracy?

But don't forget that although you can't buy a vibrator, paddle or love cuffs in these states and reqired ID to buy beer (which you can't drink until you are 21 - though given how bad ithe beer is...), guns are freely available....

Perhaps the elected dictators will one day be replaced - not by more elected dictators...

God Save Americans - and the rest of us from their government.

Porn cannot legally have bondage or any activities that might be considerd as S/m along with actual penetrative sex.

Its a line they drew in the sand, that at times by mom and pop type film makers is crossed here and there.

As for states having certain restrictions, as someone selling products of a sexual nature their are some states it is illegal to sell or mail things to, be it porn, toys, knives, etc.

And yeah they do sometimes procescute to make examples.

Some states you simply do not provide services to.

Alabama I believe is one state off the top of my head - I have a list of the states to avoid mailing things to *somewhere* on this infernal 'puter.

We stopped selling our content until the laws stablized - just to be on the safe side.
