Wellllllll cuddle, I shall tell you a story that will cheer you up.
It seems I have a weekend all to myself on the farm. No family, nobody needing my time (so far). It has been a long time since I have had the luxury. I am also feeling a bit, let's say......"fiesty"......and leave it at that.
The fiesty mood began last Wednesday when I found out that a certain young lady that my heart has been pitter patter over for quite some time was 5 days away from reaching a goal, a special life event, that has kept us apart. More than the keeping us apart, part, I know how important this "thing" was for her and I am thrilled beyond words. Now, keep in mind there is a good bit of milage between she and I, much of it the Atlantic ocean. Not usually a problem for her however. On Thursday I found that the world events of late have also made her current city of residence rather unsafe and her added responsibilities have increased her awareness of the need to provide a safe home. She is heading to a family members home in a neighbouring country for awhile. The current state of affairs make international travel rather unappealing.
Now, for the second half. Another young lady with whom I have enjoyed a mild flirtation over a few years is now residing approximately 4000 miles away but has seems to have done some maturing and is desirous of some activities of the more interesting kind with someone she knows she can trust. We always enjoy one anothers company and I think that she is now mature enough to handle this sort of thing with me, still knowing I am not going to fall madly in love with her. BUT, there is the matter of 4000 miles and neither of us has the cash to buy a plane ticket for a weekend of fun.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO, it appears I will be here on the farm with my furry companions, cleaning the kitchen so that I can mess it up with freezing peaches and making applesauce. Catch up on some reading and bugging all of you!
IF my whips should arrive, even though I know they prolly won't till next week sometime, I could at least start conditioning them and beat a teddy bear or two........alas......
