Greetings all. I am new to collarme. I think this a good site, better than most because it is truly free. I have enjoyed my short time here. If I have one pet peeve, it is when folks do not reply to emails. We are all here by choice. Some are Dom/Domme, some are sub/slave. We make our own labels. I think we have to live by what me say. If someone takes the time out of their day to email you, I think it is just courtesy to return that email, even if all you have to say is, "Sorry, not interested." Just don't leave folks hanging. If it's gonna take awhile to to compose a proper response, send them a quick,"Thanks for your email- I will answer more fully soon. Please be patient." I have noticed that some have put in their journal entries that they have been inundated with email and they ask that everyone be patient while they try to answer. That's a great idea too. But, how about something you keep in cut and paste that reiterates that on a more personal level? I understand that some folks get LOTS of emails and it takes time to go through them. How long does it take to make a quick note? I don't mind getting 'Thanks, but no thanks' replies. At least I am not left hanging. I will just make a note that they aren't interested and move on. New folks join all the time. But having your hard work (and for me trying to come up with something that sounds good everytime IS hard work ) ignored, or read and ignored, is just plain demoralizing. Please, courteous replies, even if they are short and sweet and to the 'not what I wanted to hear, but ok' point? What does anyone else think?
