Status: offline 		So often it seems that most subs ( let’s use the word guys) on here are only interested in the sexual side of BDSM and the lifestyle, while there really is so much more.  Is it wrong of me to want to concentrate on the areas above the waist first and foremost? Service is not a dirty word as far as i am concerned and to please another, especially a Domme, is and will be my goal. i am wondering how others feel about this….subs are you in agreement or disagreement and why? Dommes, if You would, please comment.

Status: offline 		There are many flavors of what bdsm has for those who wish to engage in the lifestyle. It is not just Ds for many. I know there are many that think that it shouldn't be that way, but why try to gripe about what other people need and want, and find someone that is interested in the same sort of dynamic as you. I just read today another top that was complaining that there were very few bottom types interested in bedroom submission only.. so I guess its all in your perspective.

There are tops that are best suited to bottoms, and submissives more suited to dominants... The subs that are most interested in bedroom submission will find the dominants that are only into this too... they belong together, and there are plenty of tops on this site that are not into more than that, let me tell ya.

On edit, I misunderstood, you are just trolling for a domme.. smiles.. this thread would have been better in the "ask a Mistress" forum so it would be directed at your intended audience...lol

Status: offline 		not to put too fine a point on things, but from My experience, and perspective... D/s is the relationship... BDSM are ways to explore the intimacies within the D/s dynamic.

That's my 2 cents, anyway.

It is definately not limited to the bedroom. I also like the Master/slavedynamic.

The Ultimate goal for me is sexual domination of a woman. That doesn't mean
every scene ends in sex. While early fantasies involved rope, and they still do,
I find mental bondage more exciting as it challenges my creative juices.

Status: offline 		I think you're focusing on a very over-represented segment of the bdsm submissive community. The loudest members of this community are the ones who are after sex and who bombard women with sexually-related requests/demands. But not everyone is really interested in just that sort of contact.

I think what is happening is the infamous statistical phenomenon when a continuous search keeps knocking out successful matches. In other words, the successful matches move out of the search, leaving more and more unsuccessful searches as the norm. In our context, if someone is seeking a woman and is looking for intelligence and personality first, chances are he or she is going to be more successful in finding someone than someone who has put out a net for specific sexual desires. That means that the successful person is taken out of the search process, leaving more and more unsuccessful searchers who continue to try to achieve success with a formula that has a proven unsuccessful record, but they continue using it because it is all that they know.

I would imagine most submissives who are sincere about searching for the mind first are probably more successful at finding women who are more interested in finding men who aren't after them for sex only. That means that they're probably harder and harder to find as time goes on. Thus, most of the stuff you read from dissatisfied submissives are the ones who are seeking something that most women aren't interested in helping them achieve.

At least that's my theory.

Status: offline 		I think most Dommes are goiong to be in agreement what they appreciate service.  But BDSM and D/s is about sex, plain and simple.  Whether we fuck or not, or whatever we do, BDSM has sexual undertones.  It makes our juices flow!

Status: offline 		A huge flaw to your logic is suspension... should you be suspended upside down, then it's only 1% above the waist (if your johnson is that long and the dangle is right, it could even equate to less than 1%).

In the same token, should you be on your hands and knees, does that leave 0% above the waist, or can you lay your head on your back?

This quota and percentage stuff is all relative anyway... contingent upon actual participants as to where any given factor resides.
