i understand being upset and the frustration, but WOW what behavior! I can understand the frustration and disappointment. We have been looking for a couple of years as well and been through all the deleted e-mails, no responses and having people just up and disappearing without any explanation what so ever. There have been a couple of times I have considered just removing the profile and writing it off to a waste of time. Having said that, I do understand that an on-line search is a chance... nothing more, nothing less and I don't hold my breath or count on anything being real until it truly is. Most are looking for their "one" or at the least, a kinky life partner. Almost all would not consider serving a Dominant couple much less on a 24/7 basis. So I recognize the small percentage of profiles that are even open to an introductory e-mail. In the meantime, I'll save my frustration for something I can change or at least affect. 6000 hours in 3 years of trolling? Not to inult or anything, but you would think one would get a clue within the first 100 or so hours that a different approach might be necessary. First off, if you are looking for 24/7 I'd suggest looking in your own backyard, because you are asking for a huge commitment that isn't taken lightly. Secondly, if you are asking for 24/7 straight off just forget about it, all you are going to do is attract wannabes and players. Thirdly, submissives are human, thinking, emotional beings, they want you to get to know them first and they want to get to know you, make sure that you don't turn into a werewolf or a Mr Hyde when not in public. Lastly, get a grip and keep a grip on yourself, when dom's fly off the handle it scares the subs and tends to drop you a notch or four on everybody else's post. What I find amusing about this thread is that, they said "goodbye" blah .. blah.. blah, don't bother to reply and so on. It was written with obvious obnoxious remarks. Yet so many have come to post in reply, instead of ignoring it as it should have been. If a post deserved a "troll" tag this one did. They obviously could care less what anyone has to say, they did exactly what they wanted to.. They left, have not been back since the 17th. All these replies, to who?

I actually think it isn't so much this person's approach, what they are experiencing is just the way the online experience works. Face it people, most messages are unanswered no matter what you write, many are just deleted. Studies of vanilla online dating sites have shown that males typically get a response rate of 1% or less, so just how much better luck do you think you'll have in a much smaller population like ours? Think about that -- one reply for every HUNDRED messages you send. That means if you aren't secure and confident enough about yourself you're a fool to be here at all because no matter what you do you aren't going to get a huge response rate no matter what your approach. I certainly think that a hostile attitude won't appeal to many people, but the reality is that ANY approach is still going to get a small number of replies if you're male so just live with it. If you can't deal with that, use a different method to find the person you seek. The internet is not a place for people with such thin skins. John

Over the years I've seen numerous interesting or fun conversations that evolved directly from a trolls "outburst". Just because they might have sparked it doesn't necessarily mean it only continues for their benefit, after all. It continues mostly because on some level, the people interacting find something of interest to either add on to, comment on, or perhaps it sparks something in their psyche that they decide to work it out in text. I couldn't possibly count how many times a trolling sparked an interesting or boring debate or conversation that was continued merely for the other folks interest and had nothing more to do with them really past that point.
