My happy place is being home with my unmentionable...we dont have much, but we have each other.  [:D]

SavageFaerie -> RE: Happy Place (8/15/2006 7:22:13 PM)

I found a happy place yesterday playing with my 4&6 year old grandchildren, I became a kid, I was a monster, a listener, and a wild hippie dancer......I lost my happy place today because I cannot do a simple transaction.  See complaint thread

I have 2 happy places.... one I found today (and didn't realize it until i came on here... so thank you for this thread) was playing with the unmentionable... hearing his laugh when i tickle him, and having him give me kisses before he puts his head on my shoulder whenhe's ready for a nap.... I don't want him to grow up ::wipes tears out of eyes::

And my second, I will have again by the end of the week.. we will finally have a vehical, and i will get to fall asleep every night in my love's arms...

my happy place was waking up this morning, early for overtime, then my owner giving the non verbal response to reset the alarm clock and crawl back into bed for another hour and half...that i dig.

My happy place is anywhere i find myself but if i had to choose  one or so the first would be on a motorcycle(big surprise there i know), in the garage or cuddled at my loves (i have two)feet.

Hello A/all,

I injured myself rather seriously the other day, and in a fog of pain (I tend to dislike taking pain medication) I sat on my balcony and gazed out at my 180 degree harbor view.

I have only lived here a month or so, but it truly is my Happy Place.

Sinergy

SavageFaerie -> RE: Happy Place (8/19/2006 5:12:43 PM)

I am hoping my happy place will be much like Sinergys.
I will be moved by the end of the month. My view will be much like what he described
I saw my new home for the first time yesterday and not only was I humbled by its beauty inside and out. I felt wonderful.  My balcony on the 2nd floor is about 50 yard from the waterfront of the lake. I wonder if I can cast a fishing rod that far. :)

Sinergy's Happy Place is definitely one of my Happy Places too. It is just so beautiful. One view is of the bridge, and at night there are lights on it, and the cranes working. Then next is the marina with its pleasure crafts and yachts. Then the mouth of the harbor greets the eye. On the far right is open ocean, peaceful and serene. On clear days you can see the mountains across the harbor. I truly love it there, and sometimes I stop what I am doing just to gape at it. The ships come into harbor and they are so colorful! I have never seen a view like this one.

I hope you are feeling more yourself soon Daddy... I wish I could kiss it away

SavageFaerie -> RE: Happy Place (8/19/2006 5:43:20 PM)

Over a year ago my happy place was in the blue ridge mountains, it was truly the one place I ever felt home. A trip out even to a store was breathtaking. I loved it when the clouds were low and quietly covered the tops of the mountains. My home was at the base of a mountain when I looked out my backyard it sloped to a stream which had a small wooden foot bridge to walk over. It was the most peaceful place I ever lived.

I grew up in an area bordering Yosemite and lived there off and on for 30 years, definitely a Happy Place because my father taught me about mountaineering and it makes me think of him to be up there. He was raised in Yosemite as his family homesteaded there
