Foreman stabs Cameron with an infected needle, but anyone who has seen all of last season knows that Foreman is not fired for this abismal transgression.  How is this possible?  And while I realize this, in reality, would be a career ending move, as are many actions that are taken by the doctors in this series, I continue to love this show!  Why is that?

House M.D. is the last piece of TV brain candy I allow myself.

Isn't the incident explained away simply by the fact that all of the characters are deeply emotionally involved in each others' lives? Isn't Cameron the only one that knows it was intentional? And if she doesn't prosecute the incident, isn't like it never happened? And, of course, they resolve the diagnosis and everyone is cured 100% except Foreman who has some lingering neurological dysfunction.

I apologize if I don't remember all the details quite right.

The reason you love the show is that like all mystery or suspense type shows you feel deeply connected to and identify with the incredibly intelligent protagonists that always get things right - you must be so bright you smarty-pants viewer you. Plus you can tack on the fact that shows like this and CSI give you a world of the purest order where everything can be explained and every fact is discoverable. In other words, it flies in the face of the universe of chaos and ignorance in which we actually find ourselves in real life - for 60 minutes each week you can escape into a world of diagnostic/forensic fantasy and perfection. Woohoo!

I think Cameron simply suffers from the same problem as House.  The "need to solve the rubix" curse.  Foreman, like House pointed out, gave Cameron the excuse to go back there and find out what was making him sick at the cop's house.  She didn't do it to save her life, she didn't do it to save his, she did it because she had to at least figure it out, no matter what.   I think that is why perhaps she didn't press charges.

I think she and House have more in common than House wants to admit.

This is by far my favorite show on tv also. I actually am pretty choosy about the tv I do watch, and don't watch much of it. I don't really care about the kind of thing you mention, although I admit it does seem inconsistent of the writers. I just mostly appreciate the great dialougue and am half in love with the main character, Dr. Gregory House, even if it is "just a tv show."

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this show.  I have a hard time knowing which I love more, House or Lost, and I hate network television, I have for a long time.  Somehow these two shows have absolutely captured my attention.

And yeah, I want House, in a bad way.

I know - he is just soooo Hot! I feel so silly saying that - it's a television show. But he is just soooo Hot!! For me, it's his personality, his wit, and those sky blue eyes, and the unshaven five o'clock shadow beard, and that he walks with a cane (how heroic). I want him really, really bad too!

Ok, why? He is a pill popping addict who barely manages his personal life. He breaks every single rule and doesnt see how any of the hospital policies apply to him. The fact that he is right most of the time, doesnt justify his total lack of respect for his patients or his employer. He is as sensitive to his patients as a card board cut out. He is highly critical of his colleagues. He is at times heartless.
Why do ya'll find him so attractive? Just curious. For the record, I love the show.

lol with all due respect, he may have a brilliant mind, his manners and total lack of ethics hardly make up for his "brilliance" in my opinion. But..I DO like his sense of humor. Like in tonights show, when Cameron said that Foreman was black, and House said "...and how long were you going to keep that bit of information from us?" lol

and he is also doing very well on getting paid

some think more and some think too much

but he get $300,000.00 per episode

no idea how long this contract is for but i imagine he will want to renegotiate if he gets a couple of emmies

also after 100 episode then it will be syndication time

but each time they replay an episode the actor gets 90% of what they got paid per episode up till the 5th time i believe

then 80%  the next 3 times

then 70% the next 3 times

then 60% up to the 15 time

then 50% up till the 20th time

then i can't remember what they get after that

I think that show is so boreig and predictable, every episode someone is coming in with some mysterious ailment treatments are not working they get more and more and more baffled try everything they can think of patient is in sever conditions then in last 15 mins the figure out what's wrong and cure the patient.

I just melt for a smart guy, with a smart ass, dead-on target sense of humor, who is also really good at his job, I guess.

It also helps that he is waaaay Hot! Waaay Hot! You don't find him attractive? Wow. Really? Really?! I sure do.

I don't care if he can't manage his personal life. I volunteer. If he ever becomes divorced in real life, even. I think Hugh Laurie is just plain Hot! He can eat crackers and cookies in my bed anytime!
