The film and internet phenomenon all roled into one, indeed I am, ma'am.  At 10:30 on Thursday.

The local radio station is making such a fuss over it, I might not be able to resist. BAAAA
And they keep coming in with random stupid contests to win tickets.  The last one was finding the DJ in the snake suit, in a local bar near the airport... the contest... snake NEAR a plane

It looks completely idiotic.  Truly Hollywood has run out of anything resembling a decent idea.  Even Samuel Jackson can not save such a dumbass plot.

I will not be going.  I will wait for it to show up on TMN in three months and then I will watch it if there is nothing else on, not even the Flinstones.

It's ment to be stupid and hong kongy, I swear, I think they try thier best to make the snakes look as CGI as possible....the only thing that would have made it look more fake [but possibly mroe cheesy goodness] would be puppets on a stick...oh damn that woulda been sweet.

I don't know.  Last SLJ movie I saw was "Freedomland" and that was a crock.

This does have the joy of one great line from the previews:

"I am so tired of these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plane!"

I just love that line.

"It's the same thing," he said.

I love a B-Grade movie when done properly.  Sure, I like movies designed to excite my intellectual passions but sometimes I just want to be entertained.  Even if this movie is bad it will have some great scenes.

I still remember Deep Blue Sea, just for the scene with Mr Jackson...
"First thing we gotta do is cover this hole..."

One of my favourite scenes of all time.

this morning the raidio news guys were talking about snakes on a plane, the scene where she barfs into a bag an a snake pops out is CG,  A bunch of stuff is CG. but a bunch is real snakes too.

I don't have any desire to see it, but my wife put it on our Netflix queue, so I guess I will eventually. Go figure.

The most interesting thing about that line, is that it wasn't in the original film script. An online fan did a parody of the film before it was ever released, it included this line, and the producers liked it so much they added it to the film!

I think I'll pass.  First because I freak out easily.  Second because I'm a biologist and I know snake behavior.  That situation, were it to happen, would not be critical so long as the people on the plane were not complete idiots.

I am with SirKenin except I won't even watch it on tv. Being the contrary old batich that I am I would shut the tv off first. But then, I am pretty picky about movies also.I kinda like movies that make me go "hmmmmmm" or at least a good laugh......
